John Collins Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a beautiful and well-maintained park with stunning views of Reeds Lake. It offers a variety of amenities, including a boat launch, walking paths, picnic areas, and plenty of green space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Visitors rave about the park's peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to watch boats come and go on the lake. Some have mentioned that the park can get crowded on weekends, but overall, it's a fantastic spot to spend a day outdoors. In my opinion, these are some of the highlights of the Park... Beautiful lake views Well-maintained grounds Plenty of space to relax Convenient boat launch Walking paths Picnic areas Peaceful atmosphere Can get crowded on weekends Some issues with goose droppings Overall, John Collins Park is a highly recommended spot for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors in...

Favorite place to take my family. A short bike ride from our house with a beautiful trail around the lake. The park is basically a long grass lawn on the edge of Reeds lake. There are some trees for shade. There is a boat launch and a path along the water. It is near cute little gaslight village. If you follow the sidewalk northeast you will run into a few more park areas that have walkways that go out over the lake. Parking is free on the street and gaslight village has a free...

A beautiful park. My wife and I visited in the middle of August and it was nice to see the number of people that were out and about enjoying the outdoors. There are multiple benches where one may sit and enjoy looking out across Reeds lake. I give a four star because (at least while we were there) you really had to watch your step since there were quite a few geese and ducks about.... All in all, a lovely...

Walked the Reeds Lake Trail with some friends. The route is fine, but a lot of it goes through neighborhood and along sidewalks. Overall, it was an okay trail and seems to be maintained well. This also seems to be a pretty popular spot as the weather was not great, but we still passed lots of people; we had to move over for others pretty often (or move to the street to let them pass).

Wonderful scenery, beautiful for walks, picnics, relaxing. There is a boat launch that can get busy in the warmer months, but it’s never off putting. Close proximity to Gaslight Village makes this park a must-stop before or after dinner on a date night. Great to pair with a walk down the trails around the lake.

Great little spot on the lake to have a picnic or just relax. I took my dogs and they had fun running around in the water. There was a water fountain for the dogs as well. Not an area to swim for people though and watch out for the duck poop! Definitely recommend taking a stroll through and enjoy the scenery.
