Bought a Groupon for $20 (valued at $40), only to find out that this is the same as the regular rate at the gym for a full day pass and belay training. We specifically went on a weekend day as that is the only day they provide belay training. The training lasted a total of 5 min after which we were left on our own to figure out how to climb the walls ourselves. There is no proof of belay certification provided. There was no staff member in the climbing area to keep an eye on equipment safety (i.e. multiple people were using the equipment and nobody ever checked that it was still safely harnessed). Interestingly the gym never asked for our name, age, any health problems, and they never made us sign a liability waiver for safety. There was no signage in the facility indicating main safety rules. While the facility was clean, we felt very uncomfortable with the lack of safety and training.
