Yankee Peddler & Pawn — Attraction in East Hartford

Ok so I’m an Aussie guy that for whatever reason ends up living in a random part of New England that nobody outside or the states has ever heard of, that’s the facts but I’m here and it’s pretty cool place!

So in my adventure in Yankee land I came across Yankee Peddler & Pawn, found something I wasnt expecting, really useful score for my kitchen project !!!....then the accent question again comes up, it’s actually one of the funniest things living here.

Either way spent nearly an hour getting more than I bargained for with a good intellectual chat with the owner Joe! Really great business, always appreciate meeting and chatting with good friendly people in the area, really appreciate how many good people I’ve met around here in the last couple of years.

I count on reviews to be accurate so wanted to leave one for Yankee Peddler & Pawn. I was really impressed with them, not because they gave me a little more money (It was only $10 more) for my silver than 2 other local pawn shops I'd been to, but because the shop looked like an actual store. Everything was clean, even the tools. The place was well lit, well organized and about 3 times the size of the other two shops I'd stopped into. The staff that I talked to came across customer friendly and everyone was wearing clean Yankee Peddler & Pawn apparel. They were all approachable. Although I didn't see what the prices were for their items for sale, the place felt nice enough that I would go back to actually take a look and shop there. The pictures you see online of their store are accurate. Things were laid out like new, rather than 2nd hand. Glad...

My wife and I find that doing business with Yankee Peddler & Pawn is a very pleasant experience. Joe and his staff are just great people.....very friendly, helpful, and most of all, HONEST! We have put our full confidence and trust in these fine people when things get a little hard to manage and money is tight, leaving some very sentimental pieces of jewelry as collateral for cash. You leave their establishment feeling comfortable that your belongings are safe and secure. Every transaction that we have engaged in was handled very quickly and professionally.
