If you are interested to know about Amish people, it's a good place to go. They offer different tours and it will take you minimum 40 to 60 minutes to take the basic package of exploring around with guide. They do it in batches and I guess batch starts every half an hour but better check on its website for exact timings. You can also feed animals there.
A good experience to get an idea how the Amish people live. Loved it a lot and enjoyed the introduction done by the staff there who explained how they live and how a family perform their daily duties. The kitchen is great everything there works without electricity. The foot tour to the village was good too. There were so many home made products worth trying and buying.

Read moreThe Amish Village very much feels like a tourist trap. Not having done enough research, I went in with incorrect expectations and was let down by the experience.
The Amish Village sits on a pretty piece of land that offers some nice photo opportunities, but it’s not a true Amish experience. There are no Amish individuals on the property except for one Amish school teacher that kept to himself. It’s possible the man interacts more with visitors at different points of the day, but when my partner and I visited the village late in the afternoon on a Saturday, the teacher sat quietly in the corner of the school room. If you’re looking for a true Amish experience, consider one of the other attractions in the area such as the Old Windmill Farm or a buggy ride at Kitchen Kettle Village.
The tour of the Amish house was informative and given by a friendly younger woman, but it was extremely crowded which made it difficult to enjoy. Aside from the tour, there’s not much else to do at the property. There are some animals but my boyfriend and I were disappointed and saddened by the conditions they were being kept in. There were no workers anywhere near the barn to regularly tend to or supervise the animals. Although there were a couple small fans inside the structure, the animals’ water bowls were either dried up or filthy. Clearly, the water bowls were not being checked or replenished regularly despite the 90 degree heat. It’s always very disappointing to see animals being exploited. The Amish Village is a very popular attraction in the Lancaster area so if the business cared enough to take proper care of their farm animals, they could...
Read morethis place is a scam* Drove here 3 hours , after searching Amish towns this place comes up first ! We were beyond excited for our trip. Once we got there there was 3 packages available to purchase, 1. house tour , 2.only bus ride , 3. Bus tour and house tour . Of course we chose 3 to get the full experience. It was $105 , . We were expecting to engage with actual people from this culture, and hearing knowledgeable stuff from them about their religion and their culture directly from them. However upon getting on the bus, our bus driver took us around (which we could have done it in our own personal car without paying beyond crazy)all the he did was point at Amish houses and English houses (English being American houses) I do not need to see where people are living . This is beyond disrespectful to people actually living in these areas where these tour busses go I felt I was invading everyone’s privacy. Recently went to Six Flags safari tour and this felt exactly like that. Extremely disgusting! This place should be shut down ! They took us to a “Amish business” where this place doesn’t even sell real made goods with local people of this community. White washed place trying to make capitalism off of culture they are not part of and have no idea about! Bus Tour guy and the house guide person was saying extremely outdated facts that can be found anywhere ! Wasted our whole day in this place ! DO NOT GO! This place isn’t real Amish and anything that says Amish on it isn’t Amish in this town they would never use that term. We found that out after wasting...
