Hershey Farm Resort - Cafe 23 — Restaurant in Strasburg Township

Upon ordering, we sat down and waited for our drinks and food. The total was close to $80. We were literally the last people to receive our food, meanwhile, we were the first to order. It felt like we were served last because of our color and ethnic background. They did not seem “people of color” friendly. There were 3 females who were working, when the food arriver the blonde worker put an order of chicken tenders on the tray in a very lazy and thoughtless manner, to which some of the tenders fell out. Instead of apologizing and saying she would get more tenders made, she instead questioned if it was alright that they fell, which was her fault, or if I wanted more tenders cooked to make up for her mistake. I replied I’d like more tenders, when my tenders were ready I let another girl know what happened and the blonde worker came up to share her side of the story. Theres no excuse when working in the service industry to question whether ppl are just going to let “your mistakes” slide. The entire experience felt racially driven and was very upsetting, especially considering the food was pretty good. Outside of the resort another person of color came up to us as we finished our meal in the parking lot, to ask how the food was. She shared a similar experience where her and her party were also served last while eating her a couple of years ago. This whole experience was horrible, even when we raised our concerns to the staff they didn’t seem apologetic. Wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t visit if you are a person of color or of an ethnic background similar...

The vegetarian flatbread pizza is absolutely great! The cheese on the on the flatbread is spectacular and it's seasoned to perfection it's just right it's not over season it's just it's just perfect. But this cookie is spectacular!! Like I'll be eating on these three cookies for the next week and a half because they're gigantic they're bigger than the cookies in a in the store and they have so many chunks of chocolate in it's a perfection. Being a truck driver is hard to find a good food in the area but this place is fantastic for us truckers. Thank God for doordash. The only thing I would like for them to change is the name of the chicken pot pie. Cuz a pot pie has a crest and chicken noodle soup has noodles. The chicken pot pie has noodles.

Very nice cafe! The food was great, but they seem to be under staffed for the type of crowds they get. They have the resort guests and also many that are visiting the Sight and Sound theater located next door. We came in with a group, and had most of our orders in a week prior, but it took 30 min to almost 2 hours for some of our orders.

However I will say that the staff worked as fast as they could to get the orders to everyone and were so kind! Once we did get our food it was great!!!! The paninis looked amazing, as well as the flatbreads. I had a wrap and it was fresh and good portion size.

Very clean, and has indoor and outdoor seating. Nice gift shop downstairs which is a part of the resort. Would love to stay there one day. The grounds were well kept...
