Atlantis Banquet Hall — Attraction in East Los Angeles

Hubby and I attended a wedding and the reception took place at Atlantis Banquet Hall. They have their own parking lot which was great. However, not a whole lot of parking spaces. I'm glad we got there early so we can snatch one up. The stairs! Ugh! There are a few flights of stairs that you have to walk up to enter. So that wasn't the best wearing heels. While we were waiting in the car, we saw an older gentleman take a bad tumble down the stairs. So just be careful! They do have a lift/ elevator type of thingy. But it's super slow and it looks like maybe only two people can fit at a time. I think it's really meant for handicaps.

When we entered the venue, it was pretty spacious. The tables were nicely set, the DJ was set, the photo booth was set, and the bar was set. The chairs were a bit dirty with stains on them which kind of ruined it for me. The area where the food buffet was very tight with hardly any wiggle room. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of room to dance on the dance floor. They seem to have all the necessary items needed for the outside vendors. I am extremely disappointed with the experience we had at this banquet hall for my daughter’s wedding. From the start, things went wrong. First, some appetizers that family members had purchased were mysteriously missing. Then, to make matters worse, bottles of tequila disappeared. When we asked for more adult drinks, the hall tried to charge us a 70% markup on the original price—completely outrageous.

The worst part, however, was the food. Despite having 200 guests, they ran out of food when only 140 people showed up. The organizers then had the audacity to offer to make more food—at an additional cost. It felt like they were taking advantage of us at one of the most important and vulnerable moments.

I was grateful that I wasn’t drinking, as I was able to see through their attempts to scam us. The organizers also charged for services that were never provided on the day of the event.

My advice to anyone considering this venue: do not pay in full upfront. Always keep a balance in case they fail to deliver what was promised. This banquet hall is all about taking advantage of people when they're most distracted—having fun and celebrating. I will never recommend this...

If I can give 0 stars I would! I had my wedding here and it was horrible! The staffing stole food from us and tried stealing alcohol at the end of the night! We tried contacting the hall for security footage to see who stole it and then they lied saying a family member took it when none of my family nor guest saw either of the appetizers that we provided. STAY AWAY!!! On top of them attempting to steal alcohol and actually stealing our food the staff was super rude!!! On my own wedding day giving the bride and my family (father ,uncles, grandparents) attitude and not allowing us to gather our things from behind the bar! You're better off going to another hall. My dad has a bad back and needed help picking up the remainder of our things and refused to allow him to use the elevator. The owners are scammers !! Save your time and money and go rent...
