I went into this store on a long shot, not really expecting to find what I was looking for. Within minutes I was able to locate exactly what I had hoped to find so that when the clerk offers his assistance, I kindly decline. So pleased I was in this moment that I venture to take a look around and I notice the key making station. The same clerk was there, along with the cashier and some other dude. I ask the clerk for his help in removing three keys to be copied. I tell him I need a total of five keys and he repeats back my request, just to confirm and then proceeds to hand the keys over to another guy. I figure that I don't need to wait and continue to look around, I find out later that I couldn't have been more wrong! Having picked up a few other items I go to check out, the clerk tells me my keys are all in the bag. It wasn't until I go out to my car when I find only two of my original keys had been copied. My pad lock key was just gone altogether. I go back in and tell the cashier and she insists they were in the bag. With key guy, standing right there I ask about my other key. He just stares at me with not one glimmer of recognition. I turn to the clerk, who was my only hope and think surely he must remember me or my key. I am shocked when he simply states, "there were 10". Ten?? He is useless, Deep breath, I am feeling a darkness enter the store as I stand there while the guy who made the key and this ugly cashier both just look at me and tell me there was nothing they can do and they meant that, literally. The clerk, the key maker, the cashier did NOTHING to acknowledge my concerns let alone actually finding my key! They did however, completely dismiss me, and that was when I thought, these people are trying to make me look absolutely crazy! I go back to my car, no key, I go back in with determination but honestly not knowing how bad this situation was going to get. I make a plea, once again to the cashier but her nature is just rude and perhaps evil. I count to ten, take another deep breathe...I feel eerily calm and I just know I'm about to lose it. I so don't want to go there, the countdown begins but thank Jesus for divine interventions! Suddenly, I hear someone say, "Is this your Brinks key"? I look up by the key making machine to see this older woman, a clerk that I hadn't seen before. I swear she just came out of nowhere. I say "yes, yes it is. Thank you so very much". I leave thanking God to be out of that weird, wicked place and even happier to escape the potential horror show of losing ones temper. I honestly don't know what was going on with these people. What they did was so shockingly unnatural and so random, a most frightening the experience, indeed....
Read moreBrooklyn Hardware knows the bizz! Need that last minute emergency item? Don't want to haul a$$ to home depot? This is the spot!
Staff and owner(s) know what is up! This location carries a lot more then Home Depot will. This location carries many items that Home Depot does and will not carry. It is nice to walk through the store and see the many things that are unique in home improvements/upgrades.
I needed to find a special hose that is not your typical length. When I asked Home Depot the staff there looked at me confused. My wife suggested this place and bam, they had the hose at a longer length (I am not sure why the hose is longer than usual, but this place had/has it).
Will be returning many times for upgrades/improvements for the house!!
Thank you...
Read moreNeed more helpful staff. I called in asking for a very basic item and was told they did not have them. I went in anyways to see what else they did have and they did in fact have the item I was looking for. When I proceeded to ask some questions about the item and what hardware or tools I would need to use it the clerk was like a deer in headlights. No clue what products are in your store or how to use them, and with a no returns policy how can I confidently...
