This was my first visit and it did not disappoint. We ordered the small birria and red chilaquiles with steak and eggs. The red chilaquiles salsa was slightly spicy and tasty. The spicy did not overpower the taste. The steak (carne asada) was flavorful and juicy. I loved that their chilaquiles plate came with beans and potatoes, not the boring rice you get at other restaurants. The cheese on top of the beans was a dry Mexican cheese, not American shredded cheese. The waitress and team were very accommodating to my request to make small changes. I love asking for the eggs scrambled and tossed in the chilaquiles. This restaurant is truly unique and delicious and not busy on a Sunday. We got seated immediately at a booth during lunchtime. The decor is cozy and not cheesy Mexican (I’m Mexican and can say this). The background music is a nice mellow selection featuring Luis Miguel and other artists from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. After our delicious and satisfying meal we ordered coffee and freshly baked pistachio bread. The bread was almost like a pound cake but very moist and the right amount of sweet. It was perfect...

I happened upon this place by accident. Had asked for a great day. As I went inside as a potential vendor just smelling the food from the kitchen was intoxicating not overwhelming just comfortable. Of course I checked the city's letter rating A, next into the restroom clean. Thank You for passing the tests. Sat down & had the pork ribs in chocolate sauce. Not generally a fan of this sauce as normally it is either too sweet too thick something. This was just good food. The beans with cheese on top perfect not salty the rice perfect. The chili sauces were great not too spicy, just good flavor with a bit of bite. This place is out of the way for us but great enough that it will be worth driving from LAX area to eat here in this out of the way area. Like a treat. Very seldom does a restaurant hit on all cylinders but everything about this place is quality. Clean, Inexpensive. Perfect. Oh the best part no after dinner indigestion. Great...

Had a meal here... they're very stingy with the salsas on the table, they don't fill the tiny bowls...the Menudo is like rubber they need to cook it more. The enchilada plate was very ordinary at best... No Lengua...I called on a Wednesday at 5 pm and they were already out of Ribs. Very dissapointed i also felt the waitress was rushing me by taking the dishes when I had barely finished...they also just assume you don't speak English...they just talk to you in Spanish. They also confuse you by sending different waitresses to your table, (three waitresses) Who am I supposed to tip? The salsas we're the best part of the meal. Then the bill came... Not worth it in my opinion. The air conditioning wasn't on when I walked in...it was already like 90 degrees outside...then after awhile the air turned on didn't even really cool the place, then it turned off, you can feel the...

First time coming here and it won’t be my last. A friend recommended this place and we decided to go for our weekly family dinner. Food was super delicious, the salsas and chips were good as well. The soup is what they are known for, it’s beefy, light and delicious with some tortillas and an additional squeeze or two of lemon. The carne asada was delicious, tender, and flavorful. The beans were good as well, perfectly cooked and seasoned and still has a good amount of texture left.

I wish I have more stars to give. The place is so clean, the staff is very efficient, friendly, helpful and kind, the food is fresh and delicious, the environment and the music is so relaxing, is like going back to grandma's home in Mexico. Highly recommended 👌 I wanted to take pictures but food was so good that I had no time for it. I had the caldo de res, Los higados encebollados, burrito, flan and sundae... Cannot speak Highly enough how great this place is. Thank you 😊
