My family loves visiting this library! The children's library area is a treasure trove filled with great books, activities, and multiple computers for learning games. It’s bright and welcoming, and the staff members are incredibly helpful and kind.

But that's not all—the outdoor mega chess set is a huge hit with both kids and adults! It's so much fun to play, and it adds a unique touch to our library visits. It's not every day you find a library with such a fantastic outdoor activity like this!

The people of East Lyme are very lucky to have a library like this one. I'm kicking myself for not taking advantage of it sooner, because it's fantastic! There's always something going on there. Lots of events. A great selection of books and DVDs for all ages. Computers with internet access. Always some sort of stock on sale at discounted prices. Lot's of areas for clubs and group meetings. Amazing , friendly , and helpful staff! Would I recommend yes absolutely. They offer holds and send notifications of what your looking for isn’t available. They also transfer between libraries if what you want isn’t offered there. They have summer hours now will get back to old hours in the fall. I was given a booklet of things going on in the summer. A library card here is valid in all libraries across Connecticut which is awesome. The smaller key fob one is only for this local...
