A one star rating seems to high for this pitiful store. This review is entirely my opinion, so here goes with the highlights of the ordeal there. The salesperson there baited an switched us plain and simple by saying our old phones were worth $1,600 for a trade in and also that we had 30 days to surrender them. Then when I tried to turn them in during the surrender period, they reneged on the deal and said the old phones did not qualify and would not talk to me. Keep in mind that the salesperson personally inspected our phones and handled them for almost an hour during her failed data transfer attempts, so she knew very well the models of phones we were trading in. I ended up spending days with AT&T and Samsung technical support to finally get my old phone data, programs and settings successfully transferred over to the new phone, with no assistance from the store in the setup, even though we bought the phones there. As for the $1,600 bilking attempt, AT&T Corporate was at first no help what so ever in rectifying the problem, at least until I filed a complaint with the FCC and the BBB. After that they did honor the original deal that was promised, but I won't feel comfortable with saying its resolved until I see the corrections on my statement coming up. I don't trust AT&T much any more. The AT&T store in Tawas should be avoided unless you want to be defrauded. The store wouldn't even answer our calls or return our messages. We had to find out through AT&T corporate about the details of what was going on. Very disappointed and I wish I could give less than one star...
Read moreI don’t even want to give this store one star, but I had no option! I arrived at the store after driving thirty minutes to the store, and I was refused service. There was a customer but the store didn’t close for 45 minutes. I called before I left home, and twice on the 30 minute drive over and the call went straight to voice mail. I left a voice mail the first time I called. I entered the store and was told that I could not be helped until Tuesday September 5, I asked if I could wait until she was finished with the current customer, and was told, No, . I was then asked to leave the store., and every time I opened my mouth to ask a question, I was told to leave the store or she would call the police. There was no customer service, no understanding. She wanted to close the store and take the weekend off! I have never known a private business wanting a 3 day holiday, especially a much needed business of an AT&T store. I called AT&T directly , explained situation, and recieved resolution, within 20 minutes. Why this woman took over an hour to help a customer ??? Makes me wonder if she knows how to do her job, and she was the manager! I filed a official complaint with the corporate office of AT&T! Nobody deserves to be...
Read moreOn 1-17-25, I broke the screen on my phone. Like most people, I rely on my phone for everything, especially work. I called the Tawas store, and Megan answered. I explained the issue, and urgency, and she told me "Come as soon as you get out of work." When I got there, she had at least 4 other customers she was helping. Not only did she take care of them, but myself, all at the same time. This included setting up new phones (like mine), setting up new customers, and taking walk in customers who were paying their bill. I have never had such customer service as she provided ever, at a cellular providers store. Not only was she extremely personable, intelligent, polite, (to all of us) but was able to maintain several device setups simultaniously. The level of service provided was way over and above. I can't thank her, or the location enough for being able to quickly take care of my situation. I would 100% recommend not only this location, but especially Megan to my...
