I think some of the bad reviews are possibly people expecting something that the place simply isn't.
It's an outlet store. It looks like many of the items are customer returns, so they will not be in their original boxes. Since their inventory is always changing don't expect to find specific departments, but they do seem to keep like items together.
We were greeted right when we walked in. If you watch QVC even once in a while you will recognize a lot of the brands. There is a good mix of items to shop and both my wife and I ended up with something we liked.
The wait to checkout was a little longer than it should have been. There was only 1 cashier, and she was doing her best. She was also doing returns and price adjustments for items that a customer bought that didn't ring up correctly. She did apologize for the wait, which was nice.
Couple things to keep in mind:
Make sure if you are buying something that is on sale that it rings up for the correct price. The customer in line in front of us had to come back in and get money back because the sale items didn't ring up correctly .
I would almost ignore the "on air price" that is on the tag, because a lot of the items are discontinued or on clearance. That price is not a good way to determine if it's a good deal.
For example, the item I bought had an an air price of $50 but was currently on sale on the QVC website for $24.99. I paid $15.50 for it so I did get a good deal, just not as good of a deal as they wanted me to believe.
Definitely a store to check out if you are in the area, probably not worth taking a super long drive to...
Read moreIf you are a male, you will most likely be bored with this store within 5 minutes (as there is scant things to interest a typical male aside from the electronics case). If you are a female, you can probably stretch that out to 20 minutes or so as the store is predominantly ladies clothes. Usually there is 40% on some product category, which can result in quite a deal for some things - And if you are a local and want something, its best to wait for these sales to cover what you want. Other things are poorly labeled or packaged (returned items in abundance in stretch wrap plastic with no instructions typical), to the point you have to spend a minute figuring out what something is. Id recommend staying away from any technology purchases unless they are new in original packaging. Other things such as kitchen items are fine if there are no...
Read moreAs an outlet store you never know what you will find. But, this is one of those stores where if you go in you will more than likely walk out with an item that you're happy with. One of the nice things here is that the item number on the tag corresponds to the item number at the website so if you have more questions or want more details on something you can just go online enter the item number read the reviews and sometimes even see the little video clip of when that item was on TV. You can find a wide variety of purses including Dooney & Bourke. There is a wide selection of jewelry from expensive pieces to very pretty inexpensive costume pieces. There are housewares including pots and pans and dishes. You can also find Christmas items here. QVC Outlet also has a monthly flyer to tell you what all...
