Silk Bridal Easton — Attraction in Easton

I can't recommend Silk Bridal and Erika enough! From start to finish I had the most amazing experience. I had a call with a team member a few days before my appointment so they understood my budget, style, wishes, etc. I was able to like dresses in their portal before the appointment so my stylist got a feel for what I was looking for. When I arrived for the appointment Erika sat down and talked through everything with me, she got to know me, my fiancé, my priorities in a dress, etc. She had taken the time to research my venue before the appointment and spoke to the vibe and style perfectly. I wasn't completely sure what I wanted in a dress, but Erika knew better than I could have ever thought. She put me in the perfect dress on the very first try. I went on to try on several more dresses, but because of Erika's thorough knowledge, nothing could beat the first one. At one point, I was a bit torn between two dresses and she asked super thoughtful questions and reminded me of the priorities I had told her at the start of my appointment. She truly cared about me and ensuring I got everything I was looking for in a dress. I highly recommend spending a little extra and booking a premiere appointment with Erika. You get the undivided attention of a stylist and a beautiful private suite for you and your guests (and the cost of the appointment gets applied to the cost of the dress). After the appointment I was talking to my family and we all agreed shopping at Silk feels like a wedding dress shopping hack. Feels too good to be true, but it's not. They are extremely transparent about prices, the dress quality is quite impressive, the cost of the dresses are very reasonable, and the staff is so kind. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I'm a bit of a thinker, and needed to take a few hours to make sure I was positive of my selection, the team completely respected that and didn't pressure me. I actually had a second appointment with another store later that day, and while at the appointment my family kept whispering that they missed Erika. I actually cut the appointment short because the store and dresses couldn't top Silk. I got in my car and immediately called Silk to purchase my dress and I'm so excited to wear it on my wedding day. We 'll definitely be back for other family members' dresses in the future. EDIT December 2024 now that my wedding is over: I felt absolutely beautiful and like the best version of myself in my Silk wedding dress on my wedding day. All my guests commented throughout the day that the dress looked as if it were meant for me. I couldn't imagine wearing anything else on my special day. I felt absolutely amazing. I'll add that my "meet the dress" and pick up appointments went absolutely seamlessly. The Silk staff pointed me in the direction of the perfect alterations team at Endres Studio. EDIT; I want to amend my review to reflect that the manager directly reached out to me to discuss what had happened and find an appropriate resolution. I appreciate the professional response to my issue and the actions that they have taken toward preventing this in the future. Of note, while in store shopping for the dress, I was treated very well by the stylists and staff I interacted with and was impressed by the store atmosphere and dress selection. Although I did end up having issues with the dress as detailed in my original review below (which is amended to be shortened), I overall would recommend this bridal salon for brides searching for a gown in the Lehigh valley area.

As with most bridal shops, the sample sizes here are around size 8 to 10, and I wear a size several sizes below which requires a lot of clips to simulate the fit of what the dress will be like on my frame. When I tried on the dress I ultimately purchased it was clipped in a way that made it appear as a sheath dress: there was no clipping around and below the rear-end area. I tried the dress on twice with two different associates who both clipped it the same way (missing that bottom clip).

When the dress arrived, it was very fitted around the back in a fit-and-flare style, hugging the entire curve of the behind, which was incongruent with how it was clipped on me when I tried the gown on. Later I discussed with a seamstress who informed me I would not be able to adjust the dress to be the sheath dress I fell in love with, and ultimately the gown I purchased was unusable for me.

When I called the store I was treated quite poorly by the staff I spoke to, and felt very misled by the situation. They informed me a refund was not possible, but in a way that was very belittling. I was extremely disappointed with that interaction, and left a negative review of the situation to warn future brides to be careful about asking about the intended fit of the dress prior to purchasing, and being more assertive at their ‘meet the gown’ appointment if they notice an issue. I stand by my opinion that a refund is warranted in this situation, though the store policy is no refunds (as with many bridal salons). I recently spent a magical Saturday afternoon playing dress-up at Silk Bridal Easton, and with the help of my fantastic fairy gownmother Jenny, found The Dress™️ that makes me feel like an ethereal fairy princess!

From the moment I made my appointment, I was able to create an online profile and add gowns to my look book which gave me an idea of what kind of dresses they carry and save ones that my stylist could reference when pulling dresses for me to try on. They were so helpful with sending me text reminders for my appointment and tips on how to find the shop within the Silk Mill. Once we arrived inside the shop, we were so impressed with how open, airy, light, and beautiful the space was. Jenny was there to greet us and showed us to our dressing room, encouraged us to make ourselves comfortable and enjoy all of the refreshments and snacks they had available.

Jenny then sat down with us and listened to all of my ideas and asked helpful questions so she knew exactly what to pull. She first brought back three dresses that were all within my budget and included the one wild card option I asked for (and immediately decided was not for me). When none of those three were really giving me the feeling I wanted, she was able to pull three more… Which included the dress I would ultimately select. Spoiler alert, it was different than what I had envisioned— yet somehow encapsulated the vibe that I wanted, and nothing else I tried on that day or at other bridal shops could compare. When you know, you know! After another round of dresses, I went back to The One. After Jenny did a lot of number crunching for me and answering all of my anxious questions, I got to say yes to my dress!

Jenny really took my vision and made it a reality, even though it was slightly different than what I had expected, she found something that was just so perfect… and she was really so sweet to giggle at my awkward jokes about swamp *ss.
