Disappointing service and organization. Our party of four ordered all apps first and beef entrees shorty after yet we received all our meals at different times. Three entrees came out first, our appetizers came next, the side of yuca fries came towards the end and the last beef entree was received at the end of our meal. We had to remind the staff several times that we were missing an entree and they just kept saying they were aware. We received no apology or accountability from the staff, instead they blamed the kitchen. Please note the restaurant only had two tables including ours while we were there. Additionally, we were surprised to learn gratuity was AUTOMATICALLY applied to the bill for a party of four. I questioned the gratuity and the lack of service and they agreed to only remove the added gratuity from the check only after we saw the waitress and the cook argue about it in front of us. A simple apology would have made a world of a difference but we got nothing. Do...
Read moreLast summer, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary at a tiny Peruvian restaurant in Atlantic City, and I haven’t stopped thinking about that meal since then. We don’t go out by ourselves often anymore, so when we had the chance to enjoy a date night last night we settled on Pesca Peru to see if we could replicate last summer’s amazing Peruvian food experience.
I’m so enamored with this food. I ordered Pescado a Lo Macho, the same dish I enjoyed last summer, and it was just as delicious as I remembered it being. My husband ordered Lomo Saltado and the steak was cooked perfectly. The dish was so flavorful, unlike anything he’d had before.
Many thanks to the staff for their kindness and to the owners for bringing such wonderful cuisine so close to home. We’re looking forward to returning and trying...
Read moreIf you wish to eat Peruvian food, please do not go to this place. It is far from Peruvian to say the least. Food is terrible. They except you to eat from styrofoam plates. Chicha tasted like bad limeade with too much sugar with a garlic taste. To be honest they seem like they recycle customers chichas. Their french fries were raw, oily, and smushy. Not sure how they can mess up on fries. This establishment should not be considered a Peruvian restaurant. In my opinion and my families, this is the worst peruvian food we have ever tasted in NJ,PA,MD,VA,NY, and even in Europe. Even my American wife has never left a restaurant after ordering no matter how bad it was, and she walked out without even saying anythingj!
Owner and cooks should go to Paterson and learn the fundamentals on how to cook...
