We recently hosted our Pre-Father's Day Celebration event at Gnarly Novelties & Arcade with RGV DADS, and it was a fantastic experience! Mr. Edgar Montoya and his family were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. They provided a large fan for us in the outdoor area, covered the tables, and kept everything spotless with plenty of trash cans available. Their team helped us carry items inside and allowed us to decorate the space with a banner and balloons. The arcade itself is amazing, featuring the best retro games, billiards, air hockey, and claw machines. They even helped us track our visitors by having them scan a QR code upon entry and provided an area for us to display our RGV DADS merchandise. Mr. Edgar Montoya and his family truly made us feel welcome and supported. If you're looking for a venue to host an event, I highly recommend Gnarly Novelties & Arcade. Thank you for making our event so special!

my two sons LOVED this spot! we went after trick or treating to chill and we were greeted by a friendly smile. the owner dressed as David s pumpkins from SNL (I think), they had TMNT! They have Street Fighter! my boys said the arcades there were better than Peter Piper and they want to go back! Also, they said the guy making hot dogs knows how to make good hot dogs 😂. my only complaint is one of the guns in the arcade didn't work so we couldn't co-op. if they get a Simpsons console.. I don't think I would leave 🤗

Had the most fun playing OG arcade games from my teenage years. My brother told me about this place and we took our kids to play and OMG it was just too fun lol. Watching my Daughter play Killer Instincts freaking made me so happy cuz that was my FAV game when it first came out. We will DEFINITELY come back on Friday since it's open till Midnight!

My grandchildren and my spouse and I went on Thursday.Evidently on Sunday,Tuesday-Thursday -they have $4 all you can play. It's a Mom and Pop run place and you can tell they are very proud of their place! It's not a HUGE place, but, if you have little ones, that can be a good thing because they can only go so far. They have a ton of games-even pinball!!! That is my favorite! Sadly, he's STILL looking for a Frogger-my OTHER favorite. So, if you know of one for sale in great condition that he doesn't have to sell his kidneys to buy, please let him know!!! Love supporting small businesses! We will be back!! Business hours says open, but when I arrived with my son the place was closed, and the business phone went to voicemail. I dont know when this place will be open but it's definitely not open today, I came here in the afternoon and NOTHING. Good reminder to always CALL before making a trip and wasting fuel.

Edit:I did try calling the place when I arrived, the owner called me back later on in the day and apologized for the inconvenience. Him and his family did make things right. And I appreciate that sort of dedication to customers and to their business. (Sorry it took so long to update, but so many reviews take so much time...
