Creative Clips Barbershop — Attraction in Edison

Shockingly unprofessional and untrained staff. They made my 5 year old sit in the chair for an hour while the ”stylist” figured out with the owner/manager and other barbers on how to give a simple 'mohawk' haircut to my little one. This in spite of taking an appointment in advance for both my son and myself. I had to consistently remind the untrained ”stylist” to remove the tiny pieces of hair off my son’s face and near eyes and finally reached my limits after 45 minutes of my son patiently enduring this treatment. I asked the owner/manager if using kids for training their untrained staff is a usual practice at their establishment? He could have and should have made sure that a 5 year old is not made a guinea pig. I refused to get my hair done and left after paying the due amount. Upon coming home we noticed that a part of my son's eyebrows had been cut off. I called the shop immediately and the owner/manager casually said that he does the same sometimes. Disgusting and unprofessional are understatements here. My advice to my friends and family is to steer clear of this...

Great customer service, great location (though I wish there was a bigger sign), and great conversationalists.

Only reason why I did not go with a 4/5 is due to the haircut itself. I asked for a trim up top and most of my hair went missing so now I am back once again in that awkward hair growing phase with my curl pattern lost leaving me looking like I always have bed head.

My beard was crooked despite mentioning it to the barber more than once. Both parties were getting flustered due to the confusion on my beard lineup so I just decided to call it there and be on my way. I ended up shaving when I got home so I paid for a shave I did myself.

Would I go for a cut again? Only if I was buzzing it all down and didn’t have to get my beard done. The barber I had can do a decent fade but definitely regret not making it a point to harp on the fact that I wanted a TRIM and not a CUT.

As a recently out transgender male, I went into the shop a bit intimidated. I didn't know all the technical terms or what good haircuts were for dudes these days aside from 'short and clean'. Jeremy was super chill and talked me through a few basic cuts that he felt would fit my face type and personal style. I took his word for it and about an hour later left with the best haircut I've had to date!
