It's always a blast from the past when I visit this park. I remember many years ago when the entire park was a massive wooden playground paradise. It has been modernized since I was a child, and for the better. New, safer, and clever playsets have taken the place of the old. Winter hours are a bit unreasonable as the season draws to an end, especially if there's an unseasonably warm day. The park closes at 6p during Winter, which can be quite early as sunset draws later in the day in lat January through March. Otherwise, there are plenty of pavilions to get out of the weather and enjoy an afternoon snack or lunch. In addition to the playsets, there's plenty of grassy fields for open play. Parking can be limited...

There's plenty of space for children to interact or to find their own comfort zone. (Adults should watch their heads on the wooden play sets; overhead clearance can be dangerously low when stepping up, if you're taller than an average six-year-old.) We consistently...
Read moreA lot of us call it the airplane park. There are a lot of areas for different activities, an open field for whatever, and 8 different pavilions to rent out. There are two different playground areas, but both say recommended for 5-12 years of age, but slightly younger kids could do 100% of one and 85% of the other. We spent a lot of time at the GaGa Ball pit/area. (Might not have spelled that right) The bathroom I used was clean, functional, and smelled good. I could see how convenient parking could get tricky if it was packed. There's tons of parking but might require a walk depending on where you want to go. No pets...
