My most recent visit was for their Brunch. It is available both Saturday and Sunday till 4 PM. That gives those who are late risers in the morning to still enjoy a Brunch on the weekend.
I started out with a Morning Martini which is, Espresso Vodka, Chocolate Liqueur and Irish Cream. It is shaken and served in an up Martini glass. It is smooth and refreshing.
For my food, I went with Avocado Toast and Brussels Sprouts. The Avocado Toast was not your typical smashed avocado and spread over toast. Here they toast Sourdough bread and the avocado is diced, along with an hard boiled egg and bacon. It made for an interesting sammie. It was flavorful, but was challenging to eat. Since all the items were diced, pieces would fall off when you took a bite. I had to keep assembling my sandwich.
To accompany my Avocado Toast, I ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts. The older I get, the more I appreciate this vegetable that I hated as a child. The sprouts were super crispy and tossed in a balsamic glaze. The two were a perfect pairing. It may not have been a traditional breakfast, but it hit the spot for me.
My second martini was a, Smoked Olive Martini. I choose Wheatley Vodka as my poison and enjoyed it Dirty. It was then garnished with, House Smoked Olives. It was an ultimate ending to my Sunday Brunch.

Read moreWe ordered the Boursin burger, beef medallions, fries, fried cauliflower, two orders of plain wings, and one order of the sweet chili wings. Unfortunately, both the food and the service did not meet expectations.
Service was the most surprising part of the visit. While we were seated quickly, no one came to take our order for some time. The host brought water but explained she was not able to take food orders. After waiting another five minutes
I flagged down a server. Once he arrived, he was pleasant and professional, and we were finally able to place our order.
The beef medallions were undercooked and cold in the middle, and they lacked flavor. The burger was overly salty, and the cheese overpowered the dish instead of balancing it. The fried cauliflower was heavily breaded and was soggy. Very unpleasant.
We had to flag the waiter down again, and when we shared our concerns about the medallions, his immediate response was to ask what we wanted comped. This came across as transactional rather than an opportunity to address the issue in a thoughtful way.
The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and a menu that reads very well, but not a kid friendly place so leave them home and the execution in both food preparation and service needs improvement. With better attention to quality and more genuine hospitality, this could become a truly great...
Read moreI hate leaving negative reviews and maybe it's just the brunch menu but the food was not good and having a 4.7 rating feels wildly rooted in "hometown pride." I have no problem with a higher price point if the food measures up. If you wanna see this concept done well head over to Frisco Bar Room in Webster Groves. This place wants to be an upscale city restaurant but doesn't even come close to pulling it off. First off if you wanna have the nice fancy menus you gotta calculate the cost of replacing them when they get food stains on them, not just keep using them. Gross and immediately set the tone. The dishes feel like they just took a bunch of trendy ingredients and tossed them together to sound good rather than actually considering the flavors and how they interact. They do it in the rustic style with ingredients rough cut and in large pieces which is fine when the flavors work. Not so good when every bite is a tiny bit of bacon overwhelmed by huge chunks of avocado or roasted tomato. I get risotto is hard, I can't do it, but neither can your chef and I'm not charging for mine. The one positive is the server was nice but she was the only sever there, doing half a restaurant (the other half was empty, at noon, on a Sunday, for Sunday brunch). Everything about the place felt like reality caught up to the reviews but not in...
