I ordered a General Lee radio with a peak and tune, nothing else. I have a very good radio set up with a good antenna and a perfect ground and I couldn’t talk more than a mile on the thing and it was bleeding all over other channels. I contacted Lance and told him about my issue and he told me if I send the radio back, he’d take a look. This is AFTER he tried to blame it on “conditions” and I told him that’s absolutely not the case. Instead of letting him mess it up again, (he should’ve sent it out properly set up in the first place) I decided to send the radio to my normal radio guy and have him see what’s up with it. I have included pictures of his findings. Basically, CB Radio Supplies “tune and peak” was just distorting the crap outa the thing and making it far worse than the factory set up. I sent him these pictures of my receipt from having the radio fixed and asked for my money back for the “peak and tune” he did, which he refused to give to me. I sent several emails being polite as possible trying to work something out and he just quit responding. I never asked for a refund on the radio, the radio was just fine, the only thing messed up was his “peak and tune.” The only solution he gave me was to send the radio back which I had already paid $130 to have fixed and set up PROPERLY. Sending the radio back was not an option for me, nor did I ever assume someone would say something so asinine after I put $130 into fixing it. I’ll never buy a radio from them again and I hope you don’t either. Go see Steve at Q5 Communications in DeForest WI. That fella knows his stuff. I’ve had him do my radios for 13 years, I just couldn’t get out that way to see him when I ordered this radio. I learned my lesson.

BUYERS BEWARE :

I PURCHASED A CB BASE FROM THESE LIARS THROUGH EBAY , THEY CHARGED ME TAX IN INDIANA WHEN THEY ARE LOCATED IN ILLINOIS . THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL THROUGH EBAY ASKING IF ID LIKE UPGRADES DONE TO THE CB BASE BEFORE THEY SHIPPED FOR AN ADDITIONAL PRICE , I WAS VERY INTERESTED IN HAVE THE EXTRA WORK PROVIDED BUT WHEN I CALLED I WAS MADE TO REPEAT MYSELF THREE TIMES BECAUSE THE DUM DUM IN THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT SAID HE WAS WORKING , I ASKED DUM DUM WHY I WAS BEING CHARGED SALES TAX WHEN HE WAS LOCATED IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, HE STATED EFFINGHAM RADIO ALSO HAD A WAREHOUSE IN SOUTHBEND INDIANA ( DROP SHIPPER ) AND THAT HE WAS THERE SHIPPING PARTS , WE WERE DISCONNECTED. I RETURNED A CALL IMMEDIATELY TO EFFIGHAM RADIO IN ILLINOIS AND THIS TIME , THE DUM DUM FROM THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT THAT WAS LOCATED IN SOUTHBEND INDIANA WAS NOW IN ILLINOIS... TOTAL SCAM ARTIST , LIAR AND BS ARTIST , WHEN I QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT IT DUM DUM SAID HE WOULDNT ACCEPT ANYMORE CALLS FROM , I STATED NO PROBLEM AND TO PLS REFUND MY PURCHASE PRICE , I ALSO SENT AN EMAIL THROUGH EBAY ASKING THE NOT TO SHIP THE RADIO AND TO PROMPTLY GIVE ME A REFUND . DUM DUM HAS STILL NOT RETURNED THE PURCHASE PRICE BACK THROUGH PAYPAL . MY ADVICE TO ANYONE THINKING OF PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM EFFINGHAM RADIO LOCATED IN ILLINOIS WITH WAREHOUSES ( DROP SHIPPER ) LOCATED IN INDIANA TO THINK LONG AND HARD . I HAVE HAD TO CONTACT EBAY AND PAYPAL BECAUSE DUM DUM LIKES TO PLAY GAMES BY NOT PROCESSING THE RETURN PAYMENT . BUYERS BEWARE OF EFFINGHAM RADIO AND THE DUM DUM FROM THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT ( DROP SHIPPER ) DUE TO BEING LIARS AND BEING SCAMMED . EBAY IS AN AWESOME FORMAT TO PURCHASE ITEMS AT ONE CENTRAL SITE , EBAY CAN ONLY FILTER SELLERS ACTIVITIES SO MUCH SO I FIND NO FAULT WITH EBAY WHATSOEVER . EFFINGHAM RADIO AND DUM DUM SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES TRYING TO KEEP AN OLD MANS MONEY .

WOULD NOT AND HAS NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY WHEN ASKED , I CANCELLED THE ORDER WELL BEFORE THE ITEM EVER SHIPPED , LIKES TO PLAY MR BIG WITH OTHERS MONEY . CLAIMS TO HAVE A WAREHOUSE IN SOUTHBEND INDIANA AND CHARGES INDIANA SALES TAX WHEN HIS WAREHOUSE IS ACTUALLY LESCO DISTRIBUTION . HAS NO AUTHORITY TO COLLECT INDIANA SALES TAX YET WHEN QUESTIONED ABOUT IT MR BIG OR DUMDUM BECAME INDIGNANT AND HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME REFUSING TO RETURN THE PURCHASE . WHATCHA SAY MR BIG ?? WHY ARE YOU COLLECTING INDIANA SALES TAX WHEN YOUR CB RADIO SHOP IS LOCATED IN ILLINOIS?? ME THINKS YOU HAVE SOME ESSSSSSSPLAINING...

The absolute worst experience I've ever had in my over 40 years as a commercial truck driver. I've never been treated so disrespectful and unprofessional in my life. I called and left a message and asked if somebody can call me back cuz I was having issues with the setup in my freightliner. In my voicemail I also said then I would be willing to purchase anything I needed to from from them. When the gentleman called me I started to explain my situation he interrupted me and said what did you purchase from us very disrespectful unprofessional I will do my best to boycott this company and suggest others do the same. There are much better places out there that are willing to help you and make suggestions whether they sell you something or not this place is in it just for their own pocketbook. If you want an actual CB shop that is willing to share information and help you. I suggest you call Kenny's truck and repair shop in Monroe Washington super knowledgeable and friendly and have plenty of gear that you will need as a true truck driver...

Let's add an update after their response. You can see how immature disrespectful unprofessional and childish this outfit really is. Just read through their reviews and you'll see what their customer service is like. After the treatment I was given by their staff I called one of their competitors. And was treated exceedingly well. They told me exactly what to do with my situation didn't want any money didn't pressure me into buying anything. I will do business with that place even if it cost me double. CB Radio Supply is a joke in a disgrace. Any professional truck driver that uses this place should have his head checked.

After your response I just have to add a couple things. Obviously you have the IQ of a Nat. Not to mention that you have no customer service skills at all. After speaking to you I called one of your competitors who was more than willing to help me without purchasing anything from them. Which I would gladly have done it twice the price that you charge. How do you stay in business treating people like you do? Oh that's right just cuz you rob them the only positive you reviews you have are people that have just bought things from you the negative reviews you have are all people who have dealt with your customer service cuz it is the worst I have ever had in my life. Been Trucking for over 40 years and believe me I know hundreds of truckers none of them will ever buy anything...
