This place was recommended to me by locals, so that’s how you know it’s good! After having dinner here, I can confirm it’s TOTALLY worth the hype. Everything was incredibly delicious. I waited in line outside for about 20 minutes before ordering at the window. I got my table immediately after ordering and my first taco came out within 2 minutes! From there, everything else also came out incredibly efficiently. Servers were running food, clearing dishes I’d already eaten, and didn’t bring my tres leches cake out until I was finished with my main dishes. 😁 10/10 for service! Food-wise, I cannot reiterate how tasty the tacos and elote were. Each dish was packed with flavor, plus the salsa on the side added a good kick. I did not have a single bad bite! The tres leches cake was super heavy and sweet, so the only downside is I didn’t have the appetite to finish it by myself! The environment inside is a bit loud with upbeat music, which was great for my solo dinner. I would recommend eating on the outside patio if you’re looking for a more relaxing conversation. Overall though, felt like a trendy take on your typical taco place and I would highly recommend!!

I was in El Paso for a conference and met up with local friends for lunch. They know I like trying new places when I visit and they suggested Taconeta. The menu looked fresh, diverse, and the photos looked tasty. I had the feeling I would get a meal that would satisfy and without being overwhelming. I ordered two tacos: Suadero Taco: Brisket Confit, Salsa Goku, Guacamole, Onions and cilantro. Pollo Taco: Achiote Marinated Grilled Chicken, Guacamole, Onion, Cilantro. I also ordered Mexican-Style Shrimp Cocktail: With Tomato, Clam Juice, Avocado, Cilantro, Cucumber, and Poached Shrimp. Served with Tostadas. For my drink I took the bartenders suggestion and had the Pepino Lime Agua Fresca. It went great with the food and helped bring down the El Paso heat! The only negative is the salsa wasn't hot. I like some spice in my tacos. We went during lunch time and sat at the bar, it made conversation difficult. I prefer a quieter atmosphere. Overall, I would visit again and try more items on the menu. Pick a quieter time and wait for a table. I wish I could remember the bartender's name, he was so cool.

Heard wonders bout this taqueria. Had no clue it existed with all this covid non-sense. Despite that situation, this place was pretty clean, keeping up with current cdc guidelines, super welcoming. Love the decor; it's so chic/hipster with a mexican twist. We ordered two agua frescas; 1. Cucumber and 2. Ginger, carrot and pineapple; the one that won me over is the giner one, thurst cruncher! Prolly the best recipe for a hangover. My fav taco was the baja fish taco and suadero. The house tortillas are to die for, so silky they melt in your mouth. Presentation was on point, eye catchingšŸ‘ŒšŸ¼. Unfortunately, they ran out of flor de calabaza taco, I still have that taco in my mind, will definitely come back to keep trying their unique menu. I would recommend using a different type of shrimp for the aguachile, i wasn't a fan of the pre-cooked shrimp cus it tasted like frozen shrimp, or perhaps marinate raw for a longer time, other than that I had an awesome experience and can't wait to be back. #tacosforlife

Food is great, my favorite is tempura green beans, Aztec salad, and all the tacos. I do highly recommend this place. ONE DOWN fall, you CAN NOT ORDER AHEAD AND SIT down to eat in or outside of the restaurant. If you do, staff will give you an "ugly look". Will continue to give you the "look" the whole time you are there. As if you just insulted them, for having the audacity to sit in their restaurant after ordering their food. Short after (I'm assuming is the boss) came up to us, he was polite and said "please next time wait in line to order if you plan on eating here. We do this so people don't jump ahead to get there food faster and so we don't waste to go boxes". FYI I still needed all my box's except for one and my order was over $50. I get what the owner is saying , but most of us have a time limit during our lunch break. Majority of us are not doing it to "jump the line", we are doing it to sit and enjoy our lunch in the short period of time just like everyone else. If we do have to wait for our to go order I suggest a better location for people to wait and not ask them to wait on the side by the parking lot, were cars are coming and going. I saw any elderly lady standing against the wall with another younger lady, they were standing there for a while. So the younger lady had to take the elderly lady back to the car so she had some...

I try not to be negative on reviews, but I gotta call it like it I saw it. I was not impressed, and mostly disappointed. Place is a glamorized fast food joint. Parking is difficult when busy, had to park two blocks away. Long lines to order though a window. Tacos were served on refrigerator cold tortillas, which is a huge pet peeve. Who serves tacos on cold tortillas? At the very least warm it up even if you don't give it a little soft pan fry. But they're a different color, so that makes them fancy and overpriced I guess. Atmosphere was uncomfortable and uninviting. The marinated Pollo had good flavor, but again, on a cold tortilla, ruined it. Suadero had a good flavor, but meat was chewy. Carnitas flavor was off, we all agreed they were not good. The baja taco was one tiny fish stick smaller than thumb size, and it was pretty bland flavor wise. They give you a tiny amount of very mild salsa, you won't find anything spicy here. Small uncomfortable tables, if you are a group of 5 or more you won't be able to sit together if it's busy. Once seated, though, the server was very friendly and helpful. Sorry, but there are better, and more inviting places to get good tacos that are at least...
