Read moreThe marina was terrific. Staff were helpful. The place is immaculately clean; in particular the boaters’ restrooms and showers were very clean. They also ‘dust’ the power boxes around the dock every day. The dock is well built, but fixed so if a few more inches are added to the lake level, the finger piers will be under water. The marina boaters’ building and lounge are very nice and includes a laundry room. There is a park on each side of the marina and one in back too, so plenty of open space, and terrific for walking a dog. Each park has a sand beach also for swimming. The marina is located right in downtown so it’s only a half block walk to a grocery store, coffee shop, ice cream and restaurants. Bbq grills are provided but bring your own charcoal. And there’s a weekly farmer’s market adjacent. The local nearby boat yard will also provide maintenance if you need it. The marina is well protected by a breakwall and inside a protected bay. Riding out from the farm house to the end of the walk path just to text people sometimes. At least I got some cardio, and leg work outs right? Hahah. Anyway, things have changed a lot since those days but mostly has kept it's original look. I am always ready for a nostalgic trip when I am here. That said, it's a great dock for boats and occasionally there will be people...
