New Bohemian Café — Restaurant in Leelanau Township

I really want to love this place, but it misses the mark for me! My family lives outside of Northport and I’ve been coming here for over 25 years! It’s been so nice to finally have a coffee shop with an actual espresso machine in town! However, this trip the drinks have been hit or miss - americano, dirty chai, etc. I’ve been ordering in person and online and today I finally noticed that barista hasn’t been pulling actual shots of espresso - she’s been using a push pot (where you put brewed drip coffee) and pumping that into our drinks. She said that it’s espresso in the push pot and the shots have “cooled off” ?? It has truly tasted terrible! I’m not sure if that’s their standard practice?? Or if they do that doing busy times? Maybe the espresso machine was having issues ? At any rate, I’ve worked as a barista - espresso shots are to be pulled per order, and are absolutely not supposed to sit for a prolonged time - it loses the flavor while becoming extremely bitter. It’s pretty disappointing because I love the vibe of the place, and the folks have been incredibly kind and friendly! I’ll circle back around next trip, but will just stick to our brewed coffee at home for the rest of our time here.

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at New Bohemian Cafe, and we can't stop raving about our experience! The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Greek sandwiches on gluten-free buns with added roast beef. They were nothing short of culinary masterpieces - a harmonious blend of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with joy.

The gluten-free bun was soft and perfectly complemented the savory roast beef, while the Greek elements added a delightful twist that took this sandwich to a whole new level. We have tried many sandwiches in our time, but these undoubtedly take the crown as the best we have ever had. Kudos to the chef for creating such delectable masterpieces!

Apart from the gastronomic delight, the ambiance of the cafe added an extra layer of charm to our dining experience. The cozy and cute atmosphere made us feel right at home. The attention to detail in the decor, coupled with the warm and friendly staff, created a special and inviting environment.

Whether you're a food enthusiast or just looking for a delightful place to enjoy a meal, New Bohemian Cafe is a must-visit. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Thank you for an unforgettable dining...

Always a good time! Great food, no, seriously .... I don't mean in a "try the veal" way.... I'm in love with this food. I've never had a bad meal here. Or bad coffee. Even the orange juice is pulpy and delicious. It's always worth the wait and a bummer when they run out of anything so order early and do yourself the favor of checking out the entire menu, you won't be disappointed.
