FARO — Restaurant in Leelanau Township

I'd been here twice previously, before they moved their pizza oven inside, and I was looking forward to getting a pizza here again during my most recent trip to Northport. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

The dough and sauce were still really good but there was way too much cheese on the pizza that congealed into a thick slab of leather that was difficult to chew. The pepperoni was similarly tough to bite through and ruined the consistency and mouth-feel of the pizza. They should either slice their pepperoni thinner or get a different brand/blend that isn't so tough.

All in all I was disappointed but I think the person who made my pie just needs a refresher course on ingredient portioning and what makes a good pizza. Nothing irredeemable but a very disappointing experience nonetheless, especially at...

Been 3 times..the girls love the food..I am a pizza guy and while it has promises..it fails...first time last year...only meat topping was pepperoni..ok things happen..tried early this summer...otta pizza dough...hmmm tried last night..only meat topping again was pepperoni..now keep in mind the restaurant is next to a grocery store..they use a qr code to order..yet cell service is very poor in northport..waitress said..oh yah..use our wifi...we'll never found that so ppl just went inside to order..anyway if it's pizza ya looking for you may be disappointed...go across the street to get a better variety..hopefully they make it work but for...

This restaurant is awesome - incredible food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. My husband and I split the mortadella pizza, gnocchi shared plate, and a slice of focaccia. The pizza tasted really fresh and we loved the pistachios and fresh arugula on top. The pizza dough is amazing and I was happy to eat all the crust. The gnocchi was lighter and fluffier than typical gnocchi and the sage brown butter sauce on top was incredible. We loved the grilled focaccia with marinara sauce.
