Trezona Trail Trailhead — Attraction in Ely

This trail circles Miner's Lake, which is just a few blocks from the downtown area of Ely, MN. The path is mostly paved and a couple manageable hills here and there. It takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to make the whole loop. It has some nature and trees to view, but also a lot of houses, roads, and businesses so certainly not as picturesque as most other places you could hike...

Trezona trail meanders through varying landscapes of forest, backyards, lakeside vistas, rusty mining relics. I make sure I never miss bike riding / walking in summer when its smothered in chokecherry, raspberry, plum. In summer the air is absolutely intoxicating with aromas of balsam poplar, honeysuckle (in early June), pine, aspen; strongest on a hot sunny days...

The loop is fully paved and wheelchair accessible. There are two inclines that can be challenging for those who don't hike regularly but don't let it scare you from trying this beautiful trail. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is there should be a couple more benches around the trail than there are and many a porta potty somewhere in the middle...
