Underrated little hiking spot on the Hudson River. This is a great place for calm, peaceful hikes and picnics out in nature. There are long trails across small beaches and wooded areas. Be warned, some of the trails are a bit muddy, narrow, or rocky. Definitely come prepared and bring bug spray. But overall, Undercliff Picnic Area is the perfect place to spend time in the outdoors and admire the beautiful view of the Hudson.

Nice shady picnic area with ample parking. Short walk down to Hudson River and gorgeous lawn in front of remains of the foundation of the old bath house. Lawn is EXCELLENT setting for tai chi practice and general mind meld with water and sky. Shisanshi! Grasp the...
