It's more of a locals spot than other larger parks that attract people from Bloomfield, Boulder, Louisville, etc.
No swimming for the dogs, just running and playing. There is a path to follow. Benches, a place to get out of the Sun, depending on the time of day, Erie recently added a holder for jugs of water which are refilled by patrons.
NOT FOR JOGGING - unfamiliar running excites dogs and they WILL jump on you and chase you. NOT SUGGESTED FOR LITTLE KIDS OR BABY'S. If you want to spend time with you entire family, there are picnic benches and a baseball field there, as this park is a part of Reliance Park So run the bases, don't run in the dog area. :)
Unclear if it closes at sunset or 10PM - sign says day light hours, web info says 10PM.
Great Bark is better if you are looking for a view and a larger area, but for Erie residence, this is the place to be and just 1/2 mile (guess) North of the Post Office downtown.
People are a bit more reserved (nice) than The Great Bark.
There are trash cans INSIDE the main area,...
Read moreIt a fairly large dog park with one large area and two smaller ones that are still pretty big. The path around the biggest area is a little over a third of a mile. There are some dog obstacle with hoops and ramps. No trees but there is a covered area for shade. There is a faucet but it's only on during the warm months and they turn it on too late in the year and turn it off too soon. We tend to go about 7 to 8am and there are usually about a half dozen other visitors by 8. Usually plenty of poop bags and volunteer who bring water and fill the bowls that line the path. It's located at Reliance park which has public...
Read moreThis is a nice big dog park with walking paths. Big dog and small dog areas both have agility training equipment. Pea gravel walkways and a variety of natural plants off path. Sometimes they close off sections so the plants will grow. It can get fairly dusty if it's been dry. Some shade but mostly full sun. Benches are spread around the area and there is a doggie water fountain. Overall a good park with everything you need. Better for those who like to walk and keep their dogs with them. I prefer more dog to dog interaction and coversation but to each their own. Good...
