To the neighbor that recommended this spot on Nextdoor, thank you!! Can't wait to go back!
I was in the area and Maps popped up with my saved "Want to Go" flag so I popped in. It was 7:30pm. They close at 8pm y'all. That's so so early! If I'm eating out it's because my life was too busy that day to cook. Which means its probably late...
Anyway, we were welcomed as we walked in anyhow and were told it was fine to order. My pre-teen was less than cooperative or kind and they were still wonderful to us (thank you Echo!). We each ordered a pizza. The menu says they feed 1-2 people so we each ordered our own. They are bigger than an individual pizza and more the size of a regular sized frozen pizza. I had half of one and was fine while my boys managed to down 2 ½ pizzas together. So order accordingly. The pizza is... amazing. I really loved it. I was pleasantly surprised. I came in with low expectations on food since it's a brewery so I'm happy to be wrong here.
One wall inside is all barrels. I'm told they are for the beer. However, they do have wine also. Not great wine but still, it's hard to find restaurants with any kind of wine list in Colorado so I appreciated that a brewery also took care of me (beer allergy). They do have a bar area but I'm not sure they are a bar. If that makes sense.
The restrooms are unisex. Very nice to be able to go to whichever is empty. The water runs hot which is amazing. They have paper towels which I love. The bathroom doors open out into the restaurant so you don't have to worry about opening the dirty doorknob with freshly washed hands. They need a bit of TLC though. The sink backed up 10 seconds into my handwashing.
Outside of the restrooms they have a rack of swag. I saw some cute women's Colorado shirts. They have men's too. There's some glasses and tchotchkes by the door as well. I was upset we had to rush, I would have loved to look through the rack.
They do have outdoor seating on a small patio area and a garage door like all the trendy beer joints have nowadays. I will come back in the Summer during the day to check it out. But just in the last 30min on a cold night I got the feeling that this is a dog spot (dog allergy). Time will tell but I'm a lucky guesser.
Street parking. This seems to be a dilapidated corner that is in the process of rebuilding and renovations. Expect cones, dirt, nails and holes. This main street through downtown Erie or whatever they call it, it's awful. There is no way to see oncoming cars when you're coming from a side street with all the street parking. There's very few stop signs. There's a ton of speeders. I saw 2 cars not stop at the stop signs as well. Local drivers are apparently awful. Be careful. Echo is the last business on the Northwest corner of this "strip". You could easily avoid...
Read moreLooks like we weren't the only ones there last night! Posting another review in the hope that it helps improve their service because I really do like this place. Our order for two pizzas (they are marketed as individual size!) took 90 minutes. We asked a couple of times because these things take like 5 minutes to make based on other places I've been to that offer the same type of pizza. We were told that "actually, your order went in 1 hour and 12 minutes ago, so it should be about 10 more minutes." no apologies or anything, but rather a CORRECTION to our claim that we had been waiting for well over an hour for two small wood fired pizzas. That's not how you do it.
Our server said they are typically slammed on Thursdays, but it isn't like the farmers market there is anything new. If you knew one of your stoves was out at any point from when we sat down up through the point of us asking you why our order took so long, you should inform your customer of that happening and offer us some option, whether that is to compensate us for our time we wasted sitting there (for 2 hours !) or to maybe take our business elsewhere? You essentially trapped us and many other customers, and offered us zero compensation or even an apology for waiting an obscene...
Read moreI have tried this place on three separate occasions and have been disappointed every time. The beers are OK but the food is not. I really am not one to complain publicly about any place but I don't know that I have ever had a more flavorless pizza. The pizzas are also very small for costing $17. Even got chips and cheese last time and the chips were super stale. Their ordering system if you are sitting outside is also lacking. We ordered beer and food with the QR code and went inside to get our beers and after about 30 minutes finally went inside to check on our pizza and they never received the order. Somehow they got the beer order but not the food. We bailed on eating there and left. I have never sat inside so I don't know if the ordering system is the same and has the same issues. So basically you seat yourself, place your own order, go get your own food and cash yourself out. Then when the food is lacking it gets real hard to want to leave a tip when I literally had to do everything myself. With all that said I gave it three stars because if you are just looking to have a drink with friends it's a nice place and the handful of beers I have had...
