I recently had the pleasure of exploring the Meadowview Loop with Bear Creek, and it was a delightful experience for both me and the dogs I hike with. The trail offers a picturesque blend of meadows and creek-side paths, making it ideal for those who enjoy a mix of open fields and water activities.

We started our adventure under a bright and sunny sky, with temperatures at a comfortable 74°F. The dogs were bursting with energy, eagerly exploring the trail. Upon reaching Bear Creek, they couldn’t contain their excitement and plunged into the crystal-clear waters, splashing around and cooling off. Their joyful barks and playful antics filled the air, creating a lively and fun atmosphere.

As we continued, the open meadows beckoned, and the dogs dashed through the fields, their laughter echoing in the air. We stumbled upon a curious sight – a crab claw, which added a touch of mystery to our adventure. Further exploration led us to a hidden pathway in the middle of the creek, which we couldn’t resist exploring.

After a refreshing swim and lots of running and playing, we captured some silly photos, adding to the day’s fun. The trail’s natural beauty, combined with the sounds of the flowing creek and the dogs’ happy energy, made for an unforgettable experience.

On a different note, I’d like to share a tip for fellow dog owners. To keep our trails clean, I use a chalk bag clipped to my pack to carry out dog waste. These bags have a drawstring, so you can close them tight to prevent any smells or bags from falling out. A larger chalk bag is recommended, as poo bags can take up more space than expected. This simple solution helps keep our trails enjoyable for everyone.

Overall, the Meadowview Loop with Bear Creek is a fantastic trail, offering beautiful scenery and plenty of opportunities for fun and exploration. I highly recommend it for hikers and dog owners alike....

This is a great place to dip your feet in the river, and hang out with your family. However, there was no parking in the normal parking spaces available, and everyone there, was parking along the side of the parking lot, so we did the same thing. We were just going there because we can't afford to pay to go to a swimming hole, so we thought, why not go to a state park, and at least be able to dip hours and our children's feet for free. Well, I went back to my car, to grab something, and there was a ranger there, starting to ticket everyone's vehicles, that were not parked in the normal parking spaces. Those who saw the ranger before me, we're moving their vehicles, so she didn't ticket them, but because my car was last in line, and she started with our car, she refused to remove the ticket, even though I had told her that we are a very low income family, and we ended up getting charged $75 just for wanting to go to a place that we I could dip our feet for free. Just another city, that is a bunch of greedy, money hungry idiots, feeding off of the Misfortune of almost...

Beautiful park just a short distance from Denver, but still gives you that nice“in the mountains” feeling. I’ve seen Elk and various birds here before. I want to see a bear, but never have. The water is easy to walk and play in even for small children, but you shouldn’t drink it cause animals go to the bathroom in it possibly. There is plenty of space with flat areas for games, tables for picnics, and many shaded spots for relaxation or card games like Uno or Dutch Blitz. There are lots of people here sometimes so the parking lot fills up quickly! Don’t park in a “no parking” spot though even if it looks like a good place. I saw a police officer handing out tickets! I’ve been here multiple times and will definitely spend...

I believe there's about 20 parking spaces. At 9am on a Sunday, it was already full. Lots of families here by the creek with their kids. Watch out for water snakes (pic). I went off to hike with my leashed dog. Saw several people ask for directions along the trail because the trail can split 4 ways and loops you back or to another trail, heading to a different parking lot. Please take a pic of the trail map at the trail head before you head off. I hiked 4 miles in one hour, 54 min, taking our time, incline, stopping for water breaks on a hot day. Shaded in most spots for me having taken West Ridge Trail, to Bear Creek Trail and down to Bear Creek Cutoff. 5 stars for bathroom amenities, too, score!
