First time I have been to this place was today. I had read many reviews on google and have found this place to be the most reviewed and had the highest rating in the area. I have seen many posts about each of the nail techs and everyone spoke highly of each one of them. I made the decision to book an appointment with Joanne. Today I had a classic gel manicure with the sports pedicure treatment.
As soon as I walked in, the place was very comforting and fall festive for the thanksgiving holiday. The lady at the front greeted me and signed me in. There were numerous colors to choose from from regular polish to gel and to the dip powder. After choosing a color, I was brought to the side where all the pedicure areas were. The first thing I noticed was how clean and sanitary all the stations were. For each pedicure bath there was a plastic lining in the tub that was thrown away after each use. For each person, there were sterile clippers and cuticle supplies that were wrapped and ready for use (sort of like youd see at the dentist where you would unwrap the sterile instruments before the new patient). The pedicure treatment was exactly what I needed after a stressful week and was very relaxing!!! Throughout the treatment I was constantly watching how closely she paid attention to detail and I never had the feeling of being rushed. In many other places I have been to, the nail tech would always rush the process and I would never feel relaxed. Here, I definitely was able to relax and breathe. After the pedicure I walked over to get my nails done. I originally wanted a regular polish, but was persuaded to get the gel manicure instead because it would last longer. Also, side note. In most nail salons when you ask for a regular manicure, the nail techs would normally bring out their drills to sand down the nail. When I had my nails done, there were no drills involved for this simple manicure. This was a huge selling point for me!
The prices of the mani and pedi were very reasonable and fair. I was able to get a discount being it was the first time I was there so it made me even happier. I was able to pay with my card but was told I could only tip with cash. Luckily, they had an ATM right in the front. My experience here has been one of the best experiences I have had at a nail salon. After I left, i told all my friends and family to go! Not only this, but when looking online, I had noticed this salon also provides services for men and younger children as well! So this place is truly...
Read moreI gave it a 1 star because the customer service when i walked in was great. The lady greeted us and even gave us a complimentary drink which was very nice. I originally went in for a pedi & mani. I had to ask if the gel was an additional price, which it was $15 extra. Totally understandable however it should have been mentioned before choosing a pedicure option since they have such a large pedicure range to choose from. The man who was doing my pedicure, from the beginning was not AT ALL welcoming, he was very dry and not personable at all! i was unsure of a color i wanted. I even chose a couple different colors and neither was my favorite, ultimately i chose one and not once did he ask me if i liked the color, or if i would like to change it, i decided to keep my pedicure color since it was a little darker. For my manicure, still very unwelcoming, literally did not say more than 2 words to me besides if i chose my color! and even while he was painting my nails, i mentioned twice that the color looked different from my pedi color, he kept going and instead of painting one nail for a couple coats to ensure that was the color i wanted. He kept painting until i finally said for the third time, that color is much much lighter than my toes and i did not like it. Suddenly he spoke and had a very annoyed tone when i mentioned that i didn’t not like, replied “ well now i have to take it all Off and do it again!” I replied and said well that’s why i said multiple times that the color was off. So please remove it, and i no longer want the manicure. Very annoyed he removed it and continued saying “ he doesn't make the polish color” i said yes but i mentioned on several occasions and you kept going and not to mention you not once asked me if i even liked the color for my nails or my toes! Very unprofessional. I was with my friend who was having trouble with her nail color, however the young man who was doing her pedi, was soooo nice. He painted one toe and even confirm with her if that was better and if she wanted to change it that he would. Such a sweet young man! Very helpful however we did not receive the same service! I left with no manicure and very annoyed. I would possibly give them another try if i was going with another person. Customer service is a must for me! That was not it! Sad for my first time in this beautiful place! I did leave a tip for my toes still but very undeserving. Disappointed is an...
Read moreThis is the very first time I have ever given a negative review. I have struggled with whether or not to review this since Saturday when the services were rendered but the longer I think about it the more disgruntled I've become. A little perspective; I've been getting my nails done with tips, fills, gels polish etc for decades. I worked in the Casino industry as a dealer and supervisor where hands are always on display. I don't mind spending money for these services but Saturday's bill was over the top! And what galls me the most is the $3. charge to "reshape" aka file my nails. Sorry for the long read but here it goes....... I went to Belle Palace with two of my grand daughters ages 8 & 10 on Saturday. It was my first time there. I had gone online and looked at their menu of services and saw that a mani / pedi with four designs included for "Young Royal Services" was $30. (under 9) and $34. (9-12 years old) respectively. So, I anticipated $64 plus an upcharge for gel polish on their hands, in my mind $84. plus tip and done. No, no, no not so simple............try $141. My 9 year old grand daughter had an NY on one ring finger and the number 8 on the other ring finger & two red rhinestones glued to the back of two different nails, the nails were painted two colors, navy 8 and 2 red. My 10 year old grand daughter simply had two fall colors and the same very simple design on the ring fingers. As for my services, I had a UV gel refill $34. per the menu of services, I was charged $47., the standard pedicure $34., I was charged an additional : $3. REFILL reshape? (never heard of this before), MULTIPLE COLORS $5. (apparently it takes a lot of effort to open two nail polish bottles) and DESIGNS $15. Total for me was $104. Grand total was $245. The quality of work was mediocre. when I asked about the charges for the girls they reduced the bill by $15. to $230. Still over the top. While the decor is lovely the service and cost are absurd and frankly not as advertised on their very own menu of services. I will not return, I feel insulted, I believe that filling & shaping my nails is part of a manicure service. (BTW, nails were square and still square which is not a "new" shape) Photos attached, you decide but if I had money to burn I wouldn't burn it there. It's not just the money it's...
