Hotel Excelsior - Suites on Water Street — Attraction in Excelsior

The Maxwell suite was exactly like the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it! The attention to detail is great: heated bathroom floors, Beekman toiletries, face wipes, coffee station and even a few beverages in the fridge! It's important to note that there is not an elevator. You need to carry your luggage up and down the staircases. This is also not a full service hotel - there is not a traditional check in desk/lobby and there is no daily housekeeping. They do provide plenty of towels, so no need for housekeeping. When it's time to check in, they will text you with your codes to get into the main doors and your specific suite. Each suite has a dedicated parking space in the back parking lot, which is a gold mine in Excelsior these days.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! This hotel is just wonderful! I can't say enough great things. The location is just so central and close to everything, very walkable. The service is top notch, so easy to access. We needed a few things during our stay and as soon as we asked for them they showed up immediately. I love how intimate and quaint the town was, and the hotel fits right in with that. The room was spacious and SO SO CLEAN, nicely decorated, super comfortable!!! We felt right at home. It comes with a parking spot right outside the back entrance. We ended up cancelling our stay at another super nice hotel b/c we wanted to stay at Excelsior longer and luckily they had a last minute cancel and our room was available. All the restaurants are walkable and so good, and even a grocery store is right down the street, also walkable. We felt very VIP at this hotel, we were so lucky someone had told us about it.
