Don't worry if your GPS takes you to a house. Google maps took me to a residential neighborhood. I was confused, but I saw no street sign saying I couldn't park there, so I got out and looked around.
The curving brick walkway had engraved phrases, so I knew I must be OK to follow it, because they were there for people to read. I walked down the walkway and as the garden opened up to its incredible display, I felt comfortable that it was definitely a public place and I was in the right place.
I just read there is parking at a church but I saw this after the fact.
This place is so gorgeous. I went July 2nd. So many nooks, courtyards. I wish he could help me design my garden and yard. I think and plan where I put everything, but I certainly don't have the ability or money that has been put into this entire design.
It is perfection. He could definitely offer garden design consulting services if he doesn't already! I would like to know more about him. I didn't see anything that told me who he is, what he is doing now, if he is alive, etc. One building has a collage wall of pictures from his travels. I met a man named Craig and his Springer Spaniel, Tessa. He told me a bit of the history.
I hope you get to this place.

There is also a train garden (train wasn’t running when I visited this time), a children’s garden with cute Looney Toons and Disney characters, and many other cute buildings and features. They even play tribute to Gordon Lightfoot. I will take my real camera next time I go and get some better photos, but photos will never do this place justice, you have to see it with your own eyes.
Parking is at the church nearby and just around the corner, there is space for maybe two vehicles near the entrance for seniors and handicapped. This is in a quiet neighborhood, please do not park in front of neighbors’ property or on their lawn.
It is free to visit, but they do take donations to help...
Read moreIt's actually a lost Paradise. It's hard to find for one thing. It's in the middle of a Residential area & you pass it up while driving slow looking for it. It's a crazy Garden. Looks nice from the street. There were 2 of us, but let my friend out to walk the grounds, everything was turned off & flowers are not in season. So not much to see in the late fall. No parking, it's a nightmare. You have to park at a church parking lot & walk quite a ways to the Garden. So if you're a bit Handicapped, bring a wheel chair & some help because you're on your own in the Garden. A lot of walking. Not kidding, it's far from where you park. Just visit this place in the Summer when flowers...
