This review is Based off of the Power Surge Room: This was my 20th Escape Room. TL;DR - This is a solid room with some good puzzles and lots of space, and I Plan on coming back to complete the other rooms they have to offer.
First off the waiting room is nice and spacious and the staff very nice and accommodating. This is very welcoming as some companies have a very small waiting area. Parking is also plentiful.
Next the Room itself: Our group was 4 people and we had plenty of room to explore in each of the areas without us getting in each others way and plenty of Puzzles for everyone to be doing something. With this in mind I think that a group of 6 would also be comfortable and a group of 8 could also work but would start to push the limits of the room. The quality of the room was also high with nothing looking like it was being held together with duck tape and string.
The Puzzles: The Puzzles were diverse and numerous utilizing a nice combination of standard locks and keys as well as some more technical puzzles. The flow of the room was very well done with each puzzle leading to the next without any leaps in logic. The Challenge was not that high but not that easy either. So this would be a great choice for a first escape room and even if you are a veteran, the room still has some good moments that will make this a memorable experience.
Overall this is a great company with nothing to complain about and I hope the other rooms they have are just as entertaining...
Read moreI went here for a second time recently. The first visit was great. Power Surge was fun, had good quality puzzles, and we had a great time.
The second visit was honestly disappointing. My family chose to participate in Devil's Den which was supposed to have a higher level of difficulty. The escape room itself was fine, not my favorite, but not terrible. However, the experience as a whole was frustrating. Our game master gave us clues whenever we spent more than five minutes working through a puzzle. After doing this twice, we shared our frustration; she apologized and said she wouldn't share anymore clues unless we asked. Not five minutes later, she gave us another clue. This continued the entire time. She didn't even give us a chance to struggle through tasks, not to mention all of her "clues" would be better described as instructions and answers. I felt like I paid a ton of money to just be told what to do, not actually participate in a game. This visit was not worth what we paid.
Again, the actually escape rooms and puzzles inside are good. However, if you enjoy escape rooms and like a bit of a challenge, I would recommend firmly telling your game master to refrain from giving clues...
Read morePretty decent Escape Room. Definitely recommend.
I played the Boardwalk and Power Surge room. In simple words, nothing was broken, good games, amazing room sets.
I think adding the story line into a video and adding it to the tv before the game would be a great bonus to add.
But, overall I definitely recommend trying this place out.
My only personally issue was the 2nd room of boardwalk due to the flow of the game. It was very overwhelming where nothin in the room gave us any sort of direction to focus on make it a less immersive experience. But outside of that, It was a great game.
Update: I played Mafia Blackout, Best room so far. I love the fact this is inspired by the Sopranos. Definitely a Must play! Update pt2.: Devil's Den is spooky and there will be a loud scary noise. The game wasn't bad but there were 2 puzzles, that we wouldn't have figured out that was just really out there. But, overall It was fun and enjoyable, definitely to add to your list.
Conclusion: Boardwalk sucked, Didn't like it. Power Surge is not bad, it's a why not play game. Mafia Blackout is the best one, it's a must play. Devil's Den is different and overall a...
