Honestly I shop at this store and it's a pretty nice store. However, DO NOT LET THEM INSTALL CARPET FOR YOU. (Also, don't try to call this store as you will not get anyone on the phone without knowing their direct extensions) They sub-contract to a company called American Carpet South located in Passaic. We had to have them come back 3 times, each time with a million phone calls back and forth. First, they showed up with damaged carpet. Installed part of it in 1 room but left the tack strips everywhere. They came back and installed the damaged carpet to cover the tack strips temporarily while they ordered the carpet that they need to replace. They ordered the wrong amount, so they had to order more. This whole process took weeks with phone calls and emails back and forth. Finally the carpet arrives and they come and install. The original plan was to have only 1 seam for the entire project. We ended up with 3 seams, 2 in which they installed these metal transitions. They were done horribly and very wrong. As you can see from the pictures, this is what we are left with. Absolute garbage! The store acted sort of as a go-between between us and ACS (American Carpet South), however these particular people were and are difficult to reach, uncaring, and lazy. We were able to get a slight refund for our troubles, which of course was after we complained to all kinds of people and filing complaints. However, that was BEFORE this happened with the transitions. The people that we dealt with have been completely absent and have to this day have never called us to clear anything up. We have had to chase them around and track them down to get a few seconds of conversation on the phone with them. Anthony Ramos - Store manager - He is never there and is 'on vacation' right on cue. Krystyne - She finally Ok'd a slight refund after trying to call her daily for weeks on end. Did not want to deal with us. Never called us. Customer service level pretty low. Next person - Elio - I never had the pleasure of speaking with him as he was hiding behind an e-mail address with Jhan B of ACS. We are seeking a remedy to this current situation and are in contact with Home Depot Corporate etc. DO NOT HIRE THEM TO INSTALL ANY TYPE OF FLOORING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been going on for over a month and is still...
Read moreDO NOT & I MEAN DO NOT buy your appliances from this store. I went to this store to buy an appliance package for my nephew and his girlfriend as a house warming gift which included the install package on all 7 appliances spending over $8,000.00. Delivery day, July 8th, 2017 and time 10am came, no show. Their delivery company finally showed up at 5pm and proceeded to bring in all of the appliances and start installing so we thought. They were not prepared or educated enough to install. They did not have tools with them so my nephew had to lend them the tools needed. They put the dishwasher in the middle of their kitchen and started to prep to install when they realized it was beyond their ability and left. That night when the dishes needed to be washed they noticed all of this water coming from under the kitchen cabinet and realized these installers discounted the water line but never capped and this water has now damaged their kitchen cabinets and their flooring. They also noticed that their carpet was stained from them installing their washer and dryer with this green greasy stuff. They tried to get this resolved by calling this store and was given the run around so they thought best to go in person but was given the run around there too. No one would take responsibility for this damage. They were told to scrub the carpet themselves and to go through their home owner insurance policy to get the damages covered to their kitchen cabinets and flooring. Still to this day their dishwasher is sitting in the middle of their kitchen, their kitchen floor and cabinets are ruined and the stain will not come out after scrubbing with every carpet cleaner on the planet. This is a nightmare for them to be living like this and I am disgusted on how this Home Depot employees and managers have handle this situation....

I recently purchased Timbertech composite deck boards, railings (42 inches high) and fascia boards for a 16x20 deck at a cost of nearly $7,000 through Home Depot’s Prodesk,. As the materials were not a stock item, it was placed as a special order. Upon completing the deck and installing the first of 7 railing sections, the height of the railing was 39 inches, not 42. I called the Timbertech support line to ask what I did wrong and was told the railing system I purchased was not the correct system for the deck. I informed the Prodesk associate of this and he realized after looking into it that he had made a mistake on the order. As this was a special order, he told me I would need to speak to the store manager about returning it, also noting there might be a restocking fee.
I explained the situation to the store manager (Chris) and was rather taken aback by his response. He said they could return the 6 unopened railing sections (I guess I eat the opened box cost and pay for another replacement) but would need to pay the restocking fee. I asked him why I would be responsible for a restocking fee when it was their Prodesk that specified the wrong railings for the deck? Chris said since I had paid for the order, I then assumed responsibility for the order being correct and therefore I was at fault. I asked Chris if that makes sense to him. He said it was store policy. So much for relying upon the experts at the Prodesk and Home Depot’s corporate statement of “providing the best products and customer service”. They made a mistake and the customer is on the...
