BEWARE OF FALSE PROMISE This is the most disappointing experience from the Raymour & Flanigan store at Fairfield, NJ. We ordered a set of sectional couch for our living room from the store on Apr 27th, 2025. While placing the order, we ensured that everything is in stock and ready for delivery. We were promised of the same and were informed that they could deliver all the pieces by Apr 30th. We made our payment in full and placed the order. We requested that we will schedule the delivery for a later date as we had to get rid of our current couch to make space for the new sectional. The sales team gladly agreed and promised that they will be ready to deliver as soon as we call them and schedule a date. Our family is coming to visit us for the first time in 11 years and my wife & 10 year old daughter were all excited to have this new piece of furniture. Now, on May 11th, we called the store and the sales team who helped with the purchase to schedule delivery of this couch and they gave a date of May 14th which we gladly agreed. This evening (May 12th @ 4:30 pm) I get a call saying our sectional is out of stock and they can deliver the left arm and a chair and rest canāt be delivered on May 14th. While the whole unit was in stock when ordered, and the fact that we paid in full to get this piece means it is āsoldā to us. I canāt believe it suddenly goes out of stock. This has put us in a miserable position a caused a lot of stress. While the dealership said sorry and washed their hands off this situation, we are now left scrambling thinking how to accommodate our family visiting us and what arrangements to make. Our old couch is gone and the living room is empty. We canāt ask the folks coming to visit us in 11 years to seat comfortably on the floor. This has messed up all our planning personally and made us helpless at the last minute. My daughter is crying ever since she heard this as she canāt see her grand parents being troubled. This has caused a huge damage beyond repair to us. Am thinking if I can go to consumer court or sue the dealer for messing up with our life by making these commitments and promises. I would strongly recommend future customers to either hop across the lane and go to Ashley or look for other dealers who stick to their commitments. Never again will I go to Raymour after this experience.
Team, thanks for your response.
Sorry, you have created a big mental trauma for us with this order and delay in delivery. I have detailed out the problem and issue in my review and how I was cheated into buying this with a delivery promise. As I outlined in my review, this has impacted all our planning and created a mess in our personal life. We are left scrambling now with no plan in sight figuring out how to take care of our family visiting us. All of this after paying $7,884 for this couch. My 10-year old daughter is weeping seeing the empty living room and realizing that it will remain empty for days to come. All this for no fault of ours. It is your irresponsible and unemphatheic attitude towards customers that has put us in this situation. If you really care for your customers, get the order delivered as soon as possible without making any excuses or throwing any further reasons. THE VERY FACT THAT THE ORDER WAS PAID IN FULL AND WAS READY FOR DELIVERY WHEN ORDERED ON APR 27TH, MEANS IT HAD TO BE HELD FOR DELIVERY TO US. I CANNOT TAKE AN EXCUSE THAT THIS IS OUT OF STOCK AND HAVE TO WAIT NOW FOR MY TURN. This is no less than sloppy behaviour and irresponsible customer service and "DO NOT CARE ATTITUDE" towards your customers.
Regards, Anup...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am not one to typically write reviews, but the Clearance Center of Raymour & Flanigan is a dream come true. While there may be a FEW items in the store that have a small scratch in an unnoticeable area, or a missing handle, DO NOT let those thwart you from coming. A majority of the items they have on the floor are in incredible condition, with some only there as they were discontinued and no longer needed in the main store. We furnished my mother in laws ENTIRE house (mattress, table, sofa, ottoman, bar stools, dresser.... you name it!) for $3,400, whereas a comparable sofa and mattress alone would have cost well over $5,000. We shopped at Ashley AND Value City, and nothing interested my mother in law until she went to this clearance center. We managed to get everything on her checklist! When I stumbled upon this place a few years ago, I had just come out of a bad experience with Bobs Discount "Pit", and our furniture fell apart after a year. So I was apprehensive about another clearance center, when shopping for our new sofa. Let. me. tell. you.... we have had the sofa we bought from R&F Clearance (Anastasia sofa) for over 4 years, and its still as good as ever. This is by far the best clearance center of all the furniture stores. We have a cat, so we also dont mind a scratch here or there.... Last but not least, I have never had a bad experience with customer service. The sales people there have been nothing but incredible. They aren't circling you like a shark (like some places do), but miraculously show up when you need a "SOLD" sticker. Plus, sometimes they can even work with you on the price a little bit, if you find a similar item thats marked lower. All in all, I encourage everyone to shop here!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT buy the service plan from Raymour & Flanigan- they sell it but do not honor it! It seems that Karla at the Fairfield location sold me an extended warranty to boost her sales, because she never explained that itās only for a partial coverage. After reading the policy, I had two technicians come to my home to fix my couch - thatās within warranty. The first told me that couch armrests are not covered. The second technician, Alfredo Jose, came to my house and was really rude. When I opened the door for him, I greeted him, and he said āwhatever whereās the couch?ā Alfredo said that he thinks he can fix it but it would take a long time. He said that armrests are considered āwear and tear.ā The couches have no scratches, tears, and the cushions arenāt sinking in so I asked him to explain his āwear and tearā reasoning. After looking it over, he told me that he thinks it canāt be fixed and left. When I reached out to Karla, to express my concern, she responded that repairs is not her department. I spoke to store manager Mo, and told him what happened. Mo dismissed me, didnāt even apologize, and told me that customer service will contact me. I then spoke to Ms Morales, in customer service and they promised they would get back to me. Itās been over two months since everyoneās empty promises. Avoid this store entirely. They are unprofessional and not worth your time or money. If it were a $20 item, I wouldnāt complain or care but I spent a lot of money on a set of couches that are allegedly their best collection which also happened to be their most expensive. Iām highly disappointed and will never buy anything from this...
