East Fairmont Price Cutter — Attraction in Fairmont

Poor service for me. It's late, store's closing in 15 minutes. (Back's having a really bad day)Go to the long distance soda isle for some Coke products on sale. 3 12-pks (12 Oz.) cans, 3 for $13. 3 8-pks (12 oz) bottles 3 for $13. Cool. Put 2 Vanilla (12 oz cans) and 1 8-pk regular Coke (12 oz bottles) in the cart, add 1 pk paper bowls--$31!! Go back and check the ad on the shelf, make sure of the price Go back and tell the young gent that the cans AND the bottles are 3 for $13. He and the manager (slightly older gent) tell me that I need to buy 3. OK...go back to the shelf, take the ad off the shelf and go back to register. TOLD 3 CANS OR 3 BOTTLES. Wss told AGAIN I needed 3. One more trip back to the shelf and exchange 8 bottles for 12 cans (Cherry Coke) and price totals $18.37. Am I going cuckoo or is this a...

When I noticed that there was a grocery store within walking distance of my house, I thought that it would be pleasant and eco-friendly to walk there instead of driving extra miles through traffic to get groceries after work. So I walked about a mile to get there, and started shopping--only to be approached out of the blue by an employee who demanded that i leave immediately on suspicion of shoplifting less than a minute after I arrived, because I had brought my bag to carry the food home. And then I got to walk a whole mile home. Over an hour wasted and i still don't have anything to eat tonight. I have never had this problem bringing the exact same bag into any other grocery store. Woe to anyone who doesn't have a car, because apparently this place will happily deny you service for even looking like you...

Overall this store is really fine and had a decent selection of items for sell. My reason for three stars comes from the vegetable department. Mangy of their vegetables are soft as in starting to wilt. This is especially bad in their summer These items were not sale items, not were they priced lower for quick sale. The summer squash and green peppers are always the worst, and I have seen some mold on them many times. For a long time, I would take the badly spoiled items to the teller or office, but I don't any more because things never changed. On a positive note, the employees are very friendly and helpful. I am impressed with this aspect of the store. This store is very local for me and I continue to do most of my shopping there, but I am choosey and pick through or just don't get my fresh...
