It's a nice beach, clean with lots of places to put yourself under trees and enjoy the shade and the beach. Water is calm, clear and clean. It got very busy midday but that's to be expected. Lots of families enjoying the day. I made a mistake in that I didn't go into the parking area and pay the $10. I didn't drive down that far. I parked on the side of the road in an area that was clearly marked and made sure I wasn't in the wrong section. Didn't matter to the police. They run the plate and they could see it was a rental, an easy target. I got a ticket that cost $200, all in Spanish and with ZERO info on it on how to pay it. We looked online and found a site but again it was all in Spanish. Thankfully when we returned the rental car, they gave us $100 off discount (go Enterprise!) and they gave us the info on how to pay the ticket. I get that most people speak Spanish here, but when you have so many tourists coming to your country, putting the parking ticket in both languages would be a benefit. Same with the website to pay it. Won't go...

This beach is lovely from a distance, and has shade near the water, which I love. Be careful, though! There is a lot of litter, including broken glass and bits, bottle caps, and bits of bones that make walking hazardous if you aren't paying attention.

Apparently, they don't enforce the posted rules about glass and trash on the beach. They do, however, enforce rules about dogs - for some people. Another family had a dog running about off leash and was never reprimanded. Our dog was on a leash, but we were informed by the lifeguard that we could not even walk along the path at the back edge of the beach, but that our dog must be tied to a tree the whole time and could not move. It made no sense, and I definitely felt like we were being...

Not sure if this is a private or state beach. You have to pay $5.50 to enter and park. It's a nice beach but as said before it has a lot of spiky tree droppings and straw. It's better to sit around grass area. There is hard Coral rock with moss that lines the coast line so it's hard to get out into the water it's slippery and dangerous if your not cautious u will fall on the coral. Wear enclosed beach sandals that have grip tread. The bathroom service is at the entry gate it cost$1.00 for all day use. It closed at 5:00pm . There is a bar that u can use the bathroom that also cost$1.00 for one time entry. Free if you purchase anything. They have a stage area for entertainment. If your coming to relax and watch the waves enjoy....

The beach is covered with pine needles, pine cones and leaves, at least when we went in mid June. It wasn’t very comfortable to lay on with a towel, and kinda gross when it’s stuck all over you. Sand was rough, and the first 10 feet into the water was mostly rock and plant growth. It’s doable but just not all sand. The plus is that there’s a lot of shade (hence the leaves and needles), and the water is clear and calm. The slope is very gradual once you get past the rocks, so you can walk quite a bit out from the shore. There’s also showers and bathrooms available, a small restaurant with good snack food, and some walking vendors. We got ice cream for $4 on the beach. Parking is $5.
