Laguna Grande Restaurant — Restaurant in Fajardo

Clearly, this restaurant has produced good experiences for other customers but our group has a terrible time. We booked a reservation for 15 and we're very happy we got a table

The host called to confirm an hour later and we arrived about 3 mins early and we sat. We put in a drink order right away and a food order about 10 minutes later. We told the server we had a tour in an hour and 50 mins.

Our drinks came out essentially one by one over a 45 minute period. We tried to get an update from our server who had not even put in the order. He said another large group was also being taken care of and slowing down the kitchen. At this point we were getting nervous about if any food was coming out because our order wasn't even in. I also knew the group he was talking about had already been served their food before we even got there. Maybe they were still doing dessert but regardless, they should not have slowed the kitchen down that much. Another group was sat outside with us after we had already arrived and their food order was taken after ours and actually started coming out.

We changed our order to essentially just fried food so something would come out before our tour. The server was unsure if that would come out in time.

The fried food came out with 10 minutes before we needed to leave. Several things were fried in the same oil as the fish nuggets since they all tasted a little fishy.

The restaurant should have never taken our reservation if this was going to be the experience. They should have informed us of breakdowns like under staffing so we could have found another place right away and should have had food come out in appropriate order. Would not...

Found this place by accident while looking for another place in the area, and I am so glad I did. Had the pastellios for an appetizer that were piping hot and delicious and came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce that was amazing. For the main, I had the carne fritá with arroz con habichuelas. The carne fritá was the best I've ever had, and that's no lié. Juicy chunks of pork covered in cooked onions sitting in a bowl od scrumptious garlicky goodness. Rice and beans...delicious. my partner had the fried fish chunks that came with this fantastic creamy garnish, which she described as heavenly. The food was so good we went back two nights later. I did subtract one star on service because the second night, our fish didn't come with the sauce, and when we asked about it, they said they didn't know anything about a cream sauce even when we showed them photos of it from our phone. So perhaps just a bit odd in terms of consistency. However, we would definitely visit again, the food is amazing, the vibe is wonderful and the staff were great. Must visit if you're anywhere near Fajardo...

Delisious Puerto Rican food.

The food was incredibly good. We liked everything we ordered.

We got a Mofongo con Churrasco topped with garlic sauce. It was excellent. The mofongo was moist and well prepared. The Churrasco was tasty and flavorful. It was the best Churrasco I've tried. The garlic sauce was creamy and an excellent addition to the dish.

We also tried the Pechuga rellena de Amarillos, which was delicious as well.

The Mofongo con Camarones was excellent.

I got an Acerola juice. The Puerto Rican Queso Frito with guava dipping sauce was on point.

The service was excellent. It took a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait for how delightful the food was.

The parking lot is very small. I had to wait till some cars got out for me to park.
