Little Theatre of Fall River — Attraction in Fall River

Last night, I was removed from the Little Theatre of Fall River under the claim that I was “disturbing the peace” — at a BYOB event, for simply bringing a bottle. Let’s be clear: I arrived respectfully, brought flowers and gifts for the cast, purchased a raffle ticket, and even gave up my seat so others could sit. Not one person around me complained.

The only “disturbance” came after I stood up for myself as a Black man being unfairly targeted. A PILGRIM walking down the entrance stairs at the INTERMISSION yelled out, “that nigga disturbed my night,” — and when I asked who he was talking to, suddenly I was the problem. Ask @ Athena Vaughn

Police later told me I couldn’t even file a report because it was a “private establishment.” Interesting how private spaces can still publicly humiliate people of color, huh?

This theatre is so adorable. It's style is that of "Old Fall River". It's located in the "Historical District" in "The Highlands" of Fall River, MA. They put on either original or well-known performances. With local actors and actresses trying to make it BIG, you just know the show is gonna be EXCELLENT all the time!!...
