Churchill County Parks & Recreation — Attraction in Fallon

Wow .they are pricing themselves out of business at the rate they going. This is a convenient pitstop when traveling in an RV and it is at an intersection that is off the main route for many rvers so this park is widely used. They do not offer sewer on sight but have it available for an additional charge when leaving. So that's adds ten more dollars to the stay The ground is terribly uneven and it's just not kept up like a normal RV park so the latest price increase is crazy because it's not an RV park it's camping at the fairgrounds with electric and water for the price of a RV park that offers actual amenities. I don't think the prices are comparable to what's offered other than a location right off the highway but there are numerous RV parks and BLM boondocking areas close by that are either less expensive or free. I hope they take a look at this latest increase and maybe reconsider. The place used to full by morning from weary travelers but it was very empty compared...

We were there for the Rockabilly Riot car show. It was OK, but disorganized, and some entrants left by noon or so. There were really no categories, ( like for customized hot rods or best originality, etc, etc, etc. ) for your old cars, so you pretty much parked were you wanted. The Greek food vendor of the Gyro.....was WAY to expensive, and not at all impressed with how they put it together. Usually when it comes with a salad, it's on the side, and not thrown on top of the other food you ordered. Also, they should have had awards for recognition for some of the entrants. There was only 1 van there, and it should have gotten some thing, as well as that Studebaker. But nope they didn't...

Pulled in for our shower and dump stop. The charge is $15 nightly but were unaware that septic dump was an additional $5 and you have to pull up to a dump station using your credit card. We are familiar with a stay of $15 payment and done. On this occasion it was unclear how we pay initially, dirty showers, unlevel parking lots, pay additional to dump fee and trucks pass by all night with no laundry. However through it all our stay was comfortable. Thank god the toilet didn't flush because the homeless guy ended up doing his business elswhere and I had a stink...
