Motel 6 Fallon, NV — Hotel in Fallon

When my husband mentioned staying at Motel 6 in Fallon, I was hesitant, to say the least. They traditionally do not have the best reputation. I had the Best Western on Hwy 50 in mind. He said just check it out, and if you don't want to stay, we can go to the Best Western. He has stayed here before on his solitary road trips. He was 100% right. We are sleeping for one night traveling through. Why pay $140 plus taxes equals 180 or so?? For $83, $97 out the door, it's very clean and quiet, TV, heater worked great, shower amenities, water was quiet hot in both shower & sink. Bed was fine as well. Theyre not custom made for individuals preferences. 🤦‍♀️Its Minimalist, but in a good way, and my husband can attest, I'm not the minimalist type.😁 It's definitely not for the excessive needs type. For the price, those complaining just need to stay elsewhere and pay 130-140 a night to sleep.🤣 We are on our way home after staying 4 nights at a $165 a night hotel in a downtown big city, and this room was cleaner, and my back hurt every morning at that hotel. Go figure. Didn't see any roaches and hardwood floors are different for sure, but it does make for a cleaner room. We had to come all the way to Fallon for DMV. In a rural area, so not all communities have a full service DMV. We had to take a number and wait outside for 4 hours. When we finally checked in the guy at the counter was a little blunt but quick. They didn't serve coffee or breakfast yet because of covid, but we were able to get some down the street. Our dog didn't like the hardwood floors, but that's his problem. lol. Everything was clean, well stocked and we asked for at least a microwave, and got a room with a microwave and fridge..then we asked for extra pillows and towels and a blow dryer from the front desk..also some creamer and sugar...they accommodated all of our requests quickly and generously. Everything is clean and in working order. The tv doesn't have a tv guide that works with the universal remote, but we managed. One of the best motel 6 we've stayed at. Jay was amazing! When I came I thought it was going to be like the other motels I had stayed at. I was very presently surprised! My room was very clean and recently remodeled. There was WIFI and I heard in some rooms there are wired connections. I was lucky enough to get a firdge and a microwave. However there was no hair drier (not that I needed one) but most have. The hot water is recirulated so wait time is next to nothing. I have never stayed at a place that had that feature. The staff were very friendly and caring. The pool looked nice (however it was closed for the season). There is a paid laundry facility down stairs, Ice machine and soda machine (20OZ bottles) down stairs also. There is ample parking for any situation. The LED Lights are amazing they make the room look so warm and friendly. The light under the TV is a nice feature along with the USB Outlet.
