We used to come eat here when they were a restaurant ( tandoori flames). This is the first time we were able to eat at their food truck.
Let me first start off to say that we are truck drivers and when we drove by their food truck at 15:30pst they were closed. We couldn't wait until they reopened, so we had to drive to the truck stop at Golden Gate and park. Since our reset started, we couldn't move the truck.
We called the restaurant and explained this. Instead, they offered to deliver our food directly to us at the truckstop, when they reopened at 16:00 pst. How convenient was that!
We ordered the vegetable Korma, Shrimp curry, and the cheese Naan bread.
Everything was delicious 😋 My korma had big fresh vegetables , not small peas and tiny green beans...like some Indian restaurants offer.
The cheese Naan was simply delicious!! I have never tried that before and was kind of skeptical. It was super light! Tasted like a wonderful grilled cheese sandwich, without all the heavy bread.
I'm not sure about the other review that said the food tasted microwaved or old.. Ours tasted really good and fresh!
It is a bit pricey; however, it's hard to stay a float as a small business owner, offering fresh ingredients for bargain prices. People don't understand that. Usually, cheaper Indian food trucks offer a lot of powder seasonings and cheap rice. I have food allergies and I can't stomach cheap powdered spices
I added a picture of half my order of veggie korma and bread... So the serving size is twice what my...
Read moreHuge fan of food trucks, but today in Fallon, NV Five Star Indian Cuisine was a disappointment. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic & Cheese Naan because they were out of Garlic Naan. The $21 Chicken Biryani portion was sized perfectly, I love the spice level, and flavor, but disappointed that I had a plate full of rice with maybe three dice size pieces of chicken breast. The chicken was extremely dry seems like two-day-old chicken that was already cooked. The $18 Chicken Tikka Masala dish made me extremely irritated. They gave me a good amount of rice with about 8 pieces of dried-out chicken cubes. Indian dishes are big on flavors, spices, herbs, and freshness. You get none of that at this place. The whole dish tasted like an extremely over-sweeting dessert pure sugar, some kind of citrus was needed. One spoonful had to throw the dish in the trash. The bread was just reheated too many times. I understand it’s a food truck but that is not a good reason to serve bad food. There are 100’s of food trucks serving amazing food. I will visit one more time order the same items again. If the food is better I will update my review, if the food is still bad I will...
