I really wanted to like this place. It's sooooo close to my house compared to the place I usually go to and the reviews were pretty good.
Never again.
The gentleman that runs the reception area (not sure if he's the owner) was very nice and pleasant when I arrived. I did not have to wait and was immediately seated with a young lady whose name I did not obtain. Wish I had.
She was awful! She worked verrrrrry slow and kept cutting my cuticles and burning my nail beds as she was using the drill too fast.
Let me back up and say that all I needed was a fill! Most of the work was already done!
She finally finishes the fill and began to file my nails.......unevenly! They were all different lengths and shapes! Some coffin....some square....some round.
I had to ask her to file them properly so that they all looked the same.
Then she proceeded to paint my nails.
Let me just say that a 5 year old could have done a better job! Like....HOW do you work at a nail salon and can't even paint nails!
The polish looked all bumpy because she did not smooth the nails enough.
I had to explain this to her!
WHY am I having to explain this to you?!?!?!??
So she takes off the polish and begins to smooth out my nails.
She proceeds to polish them again....sloppy, messy and still bumpy.
I still haven't mentioned that after the first horrible paint job, I brought it ther attention of the gentleman who appears to run the place. I told him she was doing a horrible job and that I wanted someone else to finish my nails. He completely IGNORED my request and basically just told her to remove the polish and re-paint them for a THIRD time!
At this point I am now running late for where I need to be. I was there almost TWO HOURS for a FILL!
#RIDICULOUS
It was very obvious that I was upset.
Not ONCE did anyone ever apologize or seem to care.
And don't get me started on their nail drying system.
They sit you at a station where you place your hands underneath and there is hot air blowing on your nails which takes FOREVERRRRRR to dry.
I finally decide to leave even though my nails aren't completely dry and walk up to the front where this guy simply says - "That'll be $18.00."
I almost walked out without paying. After all, I am now going to have to go to my usual place and obviously PAY to get them fixed.
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!
The technicians do not seem very experienced at all and it's obvious that customer satisfaction is NOT their priority.
If you are in search of a great nail salon where the technicians actually know how to do their job and actually care about thir customers, go see Tweety at Paris Nails! Inwood Road in Dallas. GOOGLE IT!
It may seem a bit far to travel just to get your nails done however it is WELL WORTH IT!
I would much rather go a little outta my way and walk away satisfied with the work that I pay my hard...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars I would. I had a horrible experience at Idol Nails & Spa and would not recommend it to anyone. They made me schedule an appointment a week advance citing that they had issues with their eyelash specialist so there was only one available that they would recommend. I confirmed the appointment. I explained I would be rescheduling my day to meet with this person and they assured me she would be free. I get to the appointment and she's not even there. Noone called to let me know of changes despite sending me multiple confirmations for my appointment. Then they made me stand there off to the side waiting for answers as to what my options were while they accepted walk-ins. Finally I was offered to reschedule and I mentioned I would need that same specialists because I heard about all issues and complaints with the other one. With that said they stopped speaking in English and started giving me the run around yet again. I was offered 20% off for an appointment on Monday then when I went to book Monday, it wasn't available. Then he tried to push it out to another day but then that day wasn't available. At that point, I decided I would just take the L and post this review so others were aware of the unprofessionalism and shadiness. I had an event that day which I had previously explained and now I couldn't get the services I needed for it. I was ready to spend at $300+ here between lashes, mani, Pediatrics and spa but good customer service, professionalism, and quality was all lacking so I...
Read moreI loved the massage chair and the gentleman greeting at the door! However, my manicurist was pretty unfriendly. I ask for a gel manicure, and she was quite forceful in ordering me to keep my hand still under the gel light, however, she was the one who inadvertently placed the light ON my nails instead of around my nails after the base coat; I tried to tell her that that was why moved my hand, but I believe a language barrier prevented constructive communication, and she continued to admonish me not to move my hands throughout the manicure. Also, after the manicure, she did not use any spray or alcohol to remove that film after gel manicure. Not massage my hands, or apply lotion. My pedicurist was really sweet, and did a nice pedi up until color application of color. The color I asked for may have been older, and did not apply smoothly. She applied it anyway, and when I look at the final product, I saw it was not a smooth application. I was tired by then, so I paid and left.
Update in response to owner: This was my first visit to your establishment. I did not know who to request that I might have liked, better. Most manicures come with at least lotion/oil application, so I was surprised. But now I, and other potential customers are aware of...
