Associated Food Stores — Attraction in Farr West

This place was like any other distribution center like this. The worse they take anywhere between 5 to 8 hours to unload. The lumpers are so inefficient that it's not even worth the money to take a load to this place. It's just a giant waste of time. They're also associated with a lumper company by the name of capstone. Which every time I've encountered this service which they're at a lot of warehouses. They take forever to unload take forever to count take forever to do the most simplistic things. And it's extremely annoying so if your truck driver and your booking loads and you're talking with the broker. Ask them what kind of lumper company the receiver has. And if it's capstone you have a big chance to up the price that they're offering due to the inconvenience that that lumper company is going to put you through. Because as all truck drivers know time is money. And if you're wasting hours and hours due to a receiving company trying to cut corners and not pay employees to load and unload trailers. Lady at checkin office is super nice and sweet. However security staff needs to educate more how to talk to drivers. I was given a delivery time and delivery number. So I called the number on gate and provided the delivery number. He replied on that number that I need to learn more to know what is PO number. There was a number which he dnt need. And then I provided pickup number starts with 69, same number I used to pickup that load from NE. I think he has to learn that pickup number is used mostly for pickup and delivery number is used to deliver. Or where they have a phone number on gate to call for checkin, write a note to provide 69 number. I feel he is tired from his job n should find...

7/11/25 - I guess everyone’s mileage varies, but I had a great dry live unloading experience here: -Appointment was at 13:00. Arrived at gate at 12:30pm and was given directions to receiving office.

Checked in & was in dock door at 12:45pm. Unloading began promptly at 13:00

Received text message with lumper payment info at 13:10.

Unloading & lumper payment completed with signed bills in hand @ 13:35 (they even brought my bills to the truck without me having to go in to get them)

I wish all grocery warehouses unloaded this fast. Maybe dry loads with afternoon appointments are faster?? 🤷‍♂️ Also may have been because my entire load was just one product of...
