I came to this establishment with my family in April 2025. My family is from New Jersey and came to visit me to lift my spirits and so that I could see my father who is terminally ill with stage 4 cancer in his intestines and liver. My dad stayed at my house with my mom so that he could rest, while my sister, a Navy veteran who is battling breast cancer, myself, an Army veteran, and our autistic little brother went bowling. We noticed that the establishment needed a serious makeover but that did not deter us from trying to enjoy ourselves and make memories. Well, after paying for 3 people to play 2 games plus 3 shoe rentals, our time of enjoyment ended bc we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. The lanes were in need of servicing MULTIPLE times, and that was evident from how many times the clerk had to keep fixing everyone’s lanes. The balls would not come back, the lanes wouldn’t restart and if they did they would restart the game entirely. Well, our little brother and us started getting agitated so we decided to ask for a refund and we would go somewhere else. The clerk told us that there were no refunds for any exception and I said that it was not as if we had changed our minds; we wanted a refund bc we were not able to bowl. Instead of refunding us, we were given tickets to come back. I told the clerk that my family isn’t from here and the tickets would not be usable. I then asked him to call the manager/owner which he said he did and claimed they did not answer. I asked him what time would they be in so that I could come back and talk to them about it. Well, hours later when they “returned”, I called in and asked to speak to the manager. A woman answered the phone and was quite snooty with me which was supposed to be fine apparently but she did not like it when she met the same energy. I then told her that since we could not come to an agreement that I would call the police and have them meet me there in which the woman stated that I was not welcome on her property nor were the police. So, I called the police from another phone (while still on the phone with her) and when she heard me speaking to the police she hung up. Well, my sister, father and I drove to back to the lanes and awaited an officer. When the officer got there, we tried to rectify the issue and it blew up! The lady who said she was the manager had reported us to the police and then told the police that they had no business being present let alone speaking to me! She was flipping out at the officer and then proceeded to start crying, as if that was going to buy her some sympathy from the officer. She then, in front of the police and on camera, wanted to know what we were even doing in Fayetteville since we aren’t from here!!!! I told her that this is America and we can go wherever the hell we like and she tried to fix her question but the damage was done. My father, my terminally ill father, got so stressed out from this encounter that he was then sick for the next couple of days. I contacted the BBB and discovered that this establishment isn’t even registered with the BBB because of tactics like the one they pulled on us. All we wanted was a nice time out as a family and instead are now searching for ways to take this to court. All over a couple of dollars they refused to refund bc they would rather rob military veterans, cancer patients and autistic children. I hope that this establishment closes its doors and never...
Read moreWe went here tonight for a company Christmas party. We only played 7 bowlers and paid for 8 and they “don’t give refunds” we also paid for 2 games but couldn’t finish the 2nd (only played up to 5 out of 10) because our lane stopped working. The woman wanted to argue that it was our choice to stop playing and our lane wasn’t messed up, even though she was the one saying over the intercom that our lane needed attention every other second. It got so bad to where one of the staff workers had to stand at our lane to manually put in our scores. The reset button wasn’t working, as well, and the lady wanted to argue that it was. We just got fed up and left. At checkout, The same lady continuously called me a liar that the lane wasn’t working, that the guy who stood at our lane to manually enter scores was “only cleaning our bowling balls” and had the worst attitude. You can tell that they are all used to customers complaining. It’s like if you aren’t a “regular” or in a league, they don’t care about you. All she could offer was 2 bowling passes but we aren’t going back to use them, so that’s worthless. I say save your time, sanity and money and drive out to Southern Pines to go to their bowling alley. This place is dirty, out dated, broken, run down- with employees that don’t...
Read moreI went here for my little sisters birthday, and the attendant was incredibly rude. We weren't allowed to have bumpers unless we had little kids with us, even if we're just playing for fun. Everything was expensive, 20$ for just two people. The lanes were not very functional; either it wouldn't recognize that the ball had been thrown, or it wouldn't reset the pins even with the attendant coming to "fix it". At one point, I bowled, and instead of my ball going through the conveyor belt like it should, it hopped out onto the other lane!! Everything is outdated as well; the screens seem to be from the 1980's. The attended said that we weren't throwing fast enough, which is why the lanes weren't recognizing the throws. If this place is for only competition bowling, it shouldn't be advertised as recreational. All in all, I definitely will not be returning. They wouldn't let my little sister throw a lighter ball because she isn't a little kid, even though it was her birthday. We didn't throw a party, or cause issues, or be loud. We didn't ask for anything special except a lighter ball. Malfunctioning lanes, rude attendants, and outdated equipment. Do not waste...
