Dollar General — Attraction in Federal Heights

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The store manager (wfm with dreadlocks) was on a "break" outside, along with what appeared to be her friends, aggressively confronted my 14-year-old son outside, over a bag of chips that had accidentally burst open when a 12-pack of soda fell on the bag in our grocery cart. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they began yelling at us in the outside of the store, asking if we were “going to clean it up.”

It was an accident that happened outside the front doors of the store and I didn't have time to process the situation and most likely would have cleaned or mentioned it to a worker when returning the shopping cart. Their tone and behavior were completely uncalled for and incredibly unsettling, especially toward a minor.

This level of unprofessionalism from both management and staff is unacceptable. The employees here, especially management, need serious retraining on customer service, basic decency, and how to address situations respectfully. I will not be returning after...

I really like this store... I love the products that they carry as they carry more than other stores... I love the hours because I stay open later than most of the other stores in the neighborhood... The only thing that I think they could really improve on it's having more staff ... the staff that they do have try really really hard to do their job and I do appreciate that very much... another thing that would really help is having a restroom that the customers could use. I have a lot of children and so when i am in the store and the store does not have a bathroom it does make it where I'm not going to stay very long in the store which means I'm going to buy less... the Isles of the store or a little bit smaller than I would like them to be... Being bigger makes it harder to walk through the store... Overall I am impressed with the store though and I will continue...

The manager who works during the day an the two young girls are very nice! But tonight I go here just to get a drink and cigarettes before they close the doors were locked 15mins early so I call my ride the “Karen of a manager” comes out an tells me she’s calling the cops if I don’t leave lmao I was outside the store for literally 5mins just waiting for my uber! This lady is completely unprofessional being a manager myself I will 100% be contacting corporate! All the reviews all say the same thing closing early an this same lady completely rude. Some people have no life so they try an feel important at their job I guess lol $35,000 a year I guess I’d be mad to lmao keep up the bad work...
