The museum was really nice. We learned a lot about Amelia Island since it was our first time coming there for our date day. It was very hands-on and that’s what we like. Wasn’t very busy. It was a Saturday, We were the only people in there so you pretty much felt like you have the place to yourself which is nice so you’re not having to bump into a whole lot of people trying to see the same thing! Very informative!! The lady who works at the front desk is very nice also! The only downfall is it was a little on the expensive side, I think, it was $10 per adult.

We are from PA and visiting family in Yulee. We love Amelia Island and thought this museum would be a great place to check out. It had some great history lessons, and truth be told I had NO idea so much happened back in the day. It was very informative and interactive. I loved "stamping" our map as we navigated through the different areas. There was a cute little dress up area for littles as well. Even as an adult I had fun playing with the different things to open to discover stuff, things to smell, etc.

The museum was awesome!! Tickets are $10 and you can purchase online to make check in faster :) there’s a free scavenger hunt to do as well! It helps incorporate the trivia and really makes you think (there’s a free prize at the end too for completion). The gift shop was lovely and had local products! The museum was the old county jail and still has a full jail cell you can walk around in! Highly recommend for all ages!

This Museum packed an enormous amount of History into what seems like a small space. The docent, Dee, who took us through each room and each era, was entertaining, informative, and really brought history to life. When a small child joined us later in the tour, she engaged her and made her part of the tour and the child was obviously delighted to help out. Really, it's the docents who make this a wonderful experience and the $8 you pay for the tour is a small amount to ask for such a well-kept museum. It's also wonderful to explore on your own. Period pieces, wonderful photographs and illustrations and a great collection of items that make Amelia Island a historical treasure. I would absolutely recommend going here and can't wait to bring my daughter with...

Uninformed, unorganized and 2nd rate. I found it unfortunate that such a historic site was not better run. There were minimal exhibits and some of the info plaques had spelling errors. Also the voice recording of the museum and the website continue to read Closed for renovations. Clearly they are open. Plus the staff was a bit offensive telling us loudly to put a mask on even tho we told them the mandate was lifted by Gov Desantis. They seemed appalled that we would even mention that and responded That is outdoor only. Not true. Don’t waste ur money here. Go on the boat cruise tour to Cumberland Island - u will learn more and...

Friendly staff. Even had a very polite young man (on staff) hold the door open for me and my wife as we walked up to the building. I was about to pay admission, then realizing I only had 10 dollars in cash my Amex card. Fortunately they only charge 4 for military/veterans. The museum had awesome displays and very detailed information on the history of Amelia Island. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because all of the scavenger hunt stamps were broke. Also there were some out of place objects lying around. Overall, the museum was great. I love to see a town take such pride and...
