Vogt's Flowers and Gifts — Attraction in Flint

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, but moved to Chicago 38 years ago. Last night, I found out that my beloved cousin—who was like an older sister to me growing up—had undergone emergency intestinal surgery. I was devastated. Her message did not include the hospital name, so after midnight, I began calling every hospital in the Flint area. I finally found her at McLaren.

When I asked the hospital operator if she could recommend a trustworthy, outstanding florist that offered same-day delivery, she said, “Voyt’s.” My heart leapt. I knew that name. Voyt’s was always my mom’s favorite florist—I even ordered her funeral flowers from them back in 1985.

I called Voyt’s this morning and spoke with Barbara, who was totally and completely delightful. She was kind, patient, and went above and beyond to make sure they had the soft pink and white blooms I had seen on their website. When I requested premium flowers, she confirmed the total cost in the most respectful way to ensure it was within my budget. I told her I would gladly pay double for this special arrangement.

Barbara mentioned she had worked at Voyt’s for 20 years, and I could tell. Her level of service, professionalism, and genuine care was extraordinary. She made me feel like my cousin's bouquet was as important to her as it was to me. That kind of compassion is so rare these days. It brought me back to a time when customer service meant something—when people really listened and cared.

Before hanging up, I asked to speak to a manager so I could share my gratitude. I spoke with Cindy, the owner, and told her what a treasure Barbara was. She reflects the values and family tradition that have made Voyt’s a trusted name in Flint since 1919.

I have done lots of business usually a cash and carry deal I've been having flowers delivered more the last few years I've always had good luck nice flowers put together well until 7-1-19 I seen the flowers I had delivered to my wife at work I ordered 2 dozen long stem roses ($159.00) they were arranged well however there are only 21 roses not 2 dozen (24) and the roses appear to be older and wilted I will be finding a new florist from now on that's alot of money for flowers for them to not be absolutely perfect.......update 11/12/19 ok so updating my review here I recently took a chance and ordered my wife flowers for her B-day on 10/29 I had them delivered I got her 3 dozen they were absolutely perfect in everyway as they should be vogts did reach out to me concerning my original review on the issues I had I did not respond to vogts as I did not want anything all I wanted to do is give them a chance to redeem themselves under normal circumstances and them not knowing I had written a bad review about them and so I did exactly that and they completely redeemed themselves I will continue to use vogts I do recommend anyone that is unsatisfied with the service to contact them I'm sure they will make it right. My family has used Vogt's as their florist for 60 years. In the past, I have always called in my orders. For my mother's 81st birthday, I decided to order online for the first time. I placed my order online and paid with PayPal on a Friday for delivery on Saturday. Or so I thought.

Mid-afternoon on Saturday, I called my mother to wish her a happy birthday, assuming that the flowers would have already arrived. I could tell by the tone of her voice that they hadn't arrived.

I hung up with my mom and called Vogt's. Somehow, my order hadn't gone through. There was no charge on my PayPal account nor had any money come out of my bank. As a small business owner with a website, I know that sometimes my customers think that they've completed an order but they haven't.

Anyway, here's where Vogt's really shines: I spoke with Suzette who, although it was pretty late in the day at this point, arranged to have my mom's bouquet made. Suzette hand delivered it on her way home, saving the day for me and my sisters!

This is why I will never get flowers from anywhere else.
