When I want natural or organic ingredients, I go here. Friendly service and an added bonus The Gumbo Trap is also located inside the storeš¤
Update on the Gumbo Trap I ordered for my coworkers and myself. Went all the way to Carpenter rd and she forgot my cornbread. We still gave her another chance. Placed another order on another day only to discover she had given us seafood boils. When I called her back she thought I was the person that sent the text for the order and she said that the person that picked up the food told her we wanted seafood boils. I told her I was the one that picked up the food. She then tells me, well I can't give you more food unless you bring the food you have back. I told her that was my whole point for calling. To Get the food we wanted. I go and swap out the food. On the way back to work she calls me to tell me that my coworkers food is all in one pan. But my food is separated. I said okay. But that seemed Strang to me because she had never done that before. Well, turns out after I ate her food I was throwing up and had diarrhea for the next two days. My coworker was fine though. So it's safe to say that neither I nor my coworkers will EVER ORDER FROM THE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNearly everything in the store is advertised as local and organic, but nothing in the store actually is local or organic. Almost every ingredient in their "grab and go" section was purchased from GORDON'S FOOD SERVICE. The meat and cheese they use is the bottom of the barrel, worst meat you can purchase. They sell it as if it's organic, and it isn't labeled correctly. I've personally heard the owners lie to customers about the nitrates and nitrites in their meats. The store is very poorly stocked. Good luck finding ANYTHING you need. And if you do, it's going to be full of gmos, pesticides and fertilizers. They treat their staff and customers with an unmatched level of disrespect, but will smile at you in person. If you get to know them, the owners openly but quietly speak negatively about nearly every business owner and farmer in the Flint Metro area. These are coincidentally the same people they claim to be "supporting." A quick glimpse into their "storeroom" off the kitchen would have you terrified to eat or shop there ever again. The owners are incredibly rude to the homeless population of Flint, to a degree that...

I went on a Monday morning, and the staff were working on getting things staged for the week. The store was a little understocked, and a little messy.
There are lots of Michigan products here, some that I would not have found at the local Kroger, Mejers, or Walmart. Frozen meats like whole duck, ground bison, and even ground boar!
I ended up picking up a bag of Flint Coffee, which is roasted in the shop above the building!
If you're ever in the area and what to check out something neat, this is a great store to...
