I love this place, it it’s a great little state park with a lot of history of Florence. It’s nice to see that most of our history still preserved. And that people are willing to stand up and keep it running. The people that were super nice. And then they had a special speaker talking about the Apache war today.Loved it super much. I’m a big history nerd and I highly recommend this place. I hope to visit again soon. It’s only five dollars to enter anyone 18 or under is completely free. Highly recommend it. It’s great for kids. We have a cute little gift shop as well.

Great place for a Day trip with kids! They have a model train phys old representations of the town, there's a scavenger hunt to earn your ranger badge, the gift shop has a lot of really cool local snacks and art. Old en days hand cuffs for a prisoner photo opportunity. There's a huge porch with rocking chairs to just relax. It's a great destination packed with nichy history for the adults.

A lot different than any other state parks. It's really as a museum and Susan there was an awesome guide! She really knows her stuff and to learn about a crazy shootout that happened in Florence by law enforcement. Wow! It does not take a long time to go through this place because it's pretty small but definitely worth stopping by.

Anyone who loves history should make a stop here. The exhibits are very well-researched and Sherri is a wealth of knowledge! The gift store is wonderful - one of the best in Arizona - and packed with local artisan merchandise and other hand-crafted treasures you don't see anywhere else.

Historic Florence is absolutely worth the detour, especially if you can visit during one of the Saturday Farmers Markets or special "Ernest Talks" at the McFarland park. This town, with its engaged and supportive residents, unique shops and history, is a gem not to be missed! Congratulations to the Chamber, Sherri and staff, and State Parks for a...

There is no off-street parking, so either you can park along the street, or park at the US Post Office across the street. It's $5 to get in. The employees working there were very welcoming and gave me a helpful brochure to learn about the different rooms. Keep in mind, even though the name says it's a park, everything is indoors. There were about 3 rooms, with beautiful historic wooden floors and adobe walls. Each room had helpful signs detailing the history of McFarland and of Florence, along with historical artifacts. It takes about under an hour to walk through it (if you're taking your time to read everything). Loved walking...
