I love seeing how the park has improved over the years since I was a child growing up in the area. There are a lot more people in the area now and the playground upgrade to newer equipment is awesome! Mrs. Sandra Terry established the community center as a place for the children in the local neighborhood to stay out of trouble having a structured environment. My daughter had also attended the preschool when she was younger and loved it. Through the Laurel civic association they also have a great food bank here twice a month. I would love to see in the future maybe a splash pad for the kids by the playground as it does get very hot in the summertime. Also maybe a fenced-in dog park area adjacent to atheltic field as people are already letting their dogs run around off leash! I also hope in the future the seperate Park area in the very back by the Legacy Trail to get cleaned up a little bit as after the hurricane it was a bit tore up but it makes a shorter shell/dirt mix Loop walk more...
