I WISH I had a pic for this one -I will be sure to take one soon.Thia is our favorite place to go walking..They have a beautiful ,big oak trees that overlook the sidewalk and shades most of it from the son..which outlines the perimeter of the park.It is always peaceful and And about 1 mile per walk around. They have a little community center,a outside excercise equipment area,a few benched areas with roofs for relaxing or I have seen birthday parties for littles ones going on there because they are right next to a cute playground area and a water area-also for the little ones..The grass is always green and cut and I have seen everything from Women’s Exercise classes ,Women with children Exercise classes, GIRL’S Tag Football Classes( Kind of cool),PersonalTrainers with Trainees ,Basketball Courts, just to name a few. But if any activity is going on they do it in the middle of the grassy part so you don’t really hear anything going on. They have a retention pond in one of the corners with beautiful mallards and other pretty ducks when it retains enough water. The sidewalk part is always clear and private except you and the big trees which you are very thankful for the shade they provide on the sunnier days or if you start...
Read moreI grew up here and went to HS at Gaither and this was the spot we’d always go to when skipping class, in the mornings we’d get McDonald’s and come to the park to enjoy the nature and cooler weather. Or after school, this was one of the hangout spots! It was in walking distance and we always had fun here. So to come back with my kids, 3 year old twins, over 10 years later, was such a blast from the past! They definitely upgraded it from what I remember, they had a ton of fun on the playground. There’s a splash bad area, workout area, two different playgrounds, multiple swings, climbing structures, you name it they have it. There’s a little trail that circles around the park and I do remember that from when I was a kid. There’s basketball courts have always been there a long with the rec center, which offer a ton of classes and other things. There’s a lot to do in the rec center as well, if I remember correctly there’s also courts, volleyball and basketball, I remember they had all types of programs at the rec center you could participate in! My kids had a lot of fun! Definitely...
Read moreNorthdale Park is clean, ample parking, plus an array of different walks of life utilizing its facilities. That's what makes the American National Park services awesome. There's teenagers with parents or adult supervision playing basketball young families taking their toddlers for a walk on the path going around the park or playing with the baby at a play ground. There's picnic tables, benches for parents to use while watching their kids. The community center is spacious. Haven't been inside it yet, but seen through a window. I can vouch the portion of my taxes that help to pay for public park services is...
